Hello everyone Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Β I’ve loved plumeria since I first went to Hawaii in (cough, cough) 1974. I just couldn’t resist Heartfelt Creations Plumeria and their Tropical Paradise Collection. It just makes me smile. It reminds of Hawaiian leis, beaches and Don Ho’s “Tiny Bubbles” (it was 1974, remember?). To create the flowers I stamped one set in pink (and one in orange) Clearsnap ColorBox ink. I left everything on the stamp positioner so that I could stamp on top and then emboss once I was done coloring. I embossed with Clearsnap ColorBox clear embossing powder.I coloured the stamps with Stabilo Carbothello chalk pastel pencils. I blended the colours with a blending nib. I did the same thing with the Parrot.Β Β I followed the instructions on the Heartfelt Creations website on how to put together the plumeria. https://www.heartfeltcreations.us/video/150/ez-steps-to-create-plumerias Β I also highlighted the flowers…
Hi everyone – Noreen Smith here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog.Do you use sketches in your scrapbooking? They are so versatile and you can use them over and over again, right? Well, you can really do the same thing with a card sketch! At this time of year there are so many occasions that you might be creating cards for, so why not use one sketch as the basic design and change up your supplies to create all of the cards you need quickly and easily? Each month I design a β1-2-3 Card Sketchβ that gets its name because it uses just 1 sentiment, 2 paper shapes and 3 embellishments. I create a handout with the sketch and measurements as well as samples of the finished cards, along with a video that demonstrates how quick it can be to create cards using this formula (if youβre interested, you…

Hello everyone – Vicki Wizniuk here! Today I am sharing a few cards I created using the new Prickly Pear papers from Close to My Heart! I love the fresh and funky colour palette in this pack. For my first card, I paired the Prickly Pear papers with the Prickly Pear Cardmaking stamp set.Β I love that these new stamp sets have matching Thin Cuts dies, making creating even that much easier! To add colour the stamped and die-cut cactus, I used my inks and small waterbrush to simply paint the colours on. Tip:Β I like to use Black Memento ink to stamp the image, as it dries quickly and it doesnβt βbleedβ when I use my waterbrush to add the colours. I added a few sequins from the Prickly Pear Sequins pack.Β I love how easily you can combine everything just by going by the name of the product…

Hi Friends! Itβs June and that means that Stampinβ Up! has released a brand new catalogue. Itβs something I look forward to every year.Β I love looking at the new products and admiring the ideas inside the crisp pages while enjoying a hot cup of coffee out of my favourite mug.Β Armed with a sharpie and a pen, I check off products that I already own and create a list of βneedsβ, βwantsβ and βmaybesβ inside my bullet journal. One of my βneed nowβ items is a product bundle called Birthday Delivery which includes a stamp set and a matching die. I have been swooning over the images in this set for months.
