Mermaid with Tracy McLennon

Hello everyone Tracy McLennon here today sharing my Mermaid layout. This photo is just a perfect match for this stunning Heartfelt Creations collection – Under The Sea.I created simple layers with these stunningly vibrant patterned papers. I used my flower shaping tools from Heartfelt Creations to shape the floral images that I fussy cut from patterned paper.I then added Prills using my Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Dual tip glue pen, for a tiny bit of texture. So why not start by preparing some scrapbook layouts for your Disney vacation before you leave. Hello everyone – Sally Lynn MacDonald here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. I love art journaling – but I really love capturing memories in my journal. The hardest part about keeping a journal is getting started and that is where I’ve come up with a way of getting past the fear of the blank page and freeing myself to create by monoprinting on the blank pages. My favorite travel journal is a landscape watercolor paper journal. I like this journal for the size of and the type of paper inside the journal. To start, I will choose a color scheme that complements the travel theme but doesn’t overwhelm. These are backgrounds, so they need to be somewhat subtle. For my colors I chose: Golden’s Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold (a sunny color!) Golden’s Titan Green Pale (a very light, almost white green) Golden’s Titanium White (pure, bright white) Pebeo’s Iridescent Blue…

June Sketchy Challenge gets splashed!

Hi everyone! Kim here with a quick layout share that was inspired by our June Sketchy Challenge, designed by Kerry Engel. I have to say, this was originally a tough sketch for me, I didn’t have a clue how I would use it until I took the perfect picture of my crazy dog Bella and then I knew my leading lines would be splashes of water! I used Simple Stories ‘Cabin Fever’ collection for all papers and embellishments with the exception of the Bazzil cardstock. I used a few different types of Tombow adhesives to adhere all elements. The awesome water splashes were designed and downloaded from Freepik Designs. I cut them using my electronic die cutting machine.
