Hello, Connie Nichol here today with two cards featuring  the Art Impressions Succulents stamps and dies set.  These stamps are so pretty and succulents are so trendy right now! I stamped them with Ranger Archival Black Ink , coloured them with Chameleon pens. Next I cut them out with the coordinating dies and stuck everything together with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L adhesives.  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D foam squares are perfect for adding dimension to a row of succulents.  I put a coat of Glossy Accents on a few of the flowers to add some gloss and dimension and dabbed some Stickles glitter glue on some of the foliage.  Small details but it’s the little things that make cards extra special. The background patterned paper is from this wood and gingham basics paper pad from Simple Stories.  This paper pad is HUGE and has awesome colors and patterns. Thanks for…

Hi, Connie Nichol here today with a couple of Christmas cards featuring the Christmas Carolers Art Impressions stamp set.  Where I live, the days are very short right now as we approach the winter solstice and I like to keep busy during the long evenings.  One of my favourite things to do is putz around with my craft supplies and make cards.  I often listen to an audiobook while I am crafting.  It’s a great way to multi-task if you can ‘read’ and create at the same time.  Forgive the artificial light on these photographs – as I mentioned, the days are short and it is dark when I go to work and dark when I come home. Here’s the stamp set I used.  I notice that it’s no longer available from the Art Impressions website, but you can buy it from many other retailers.  Alternatively, Art Impressions has other beautiful…

Can you smell it …. can you feel it ….. ? Fall is here and that means Christmas is right around the corner. Oh, for a card/tag maker this is the “funnest” time of the year. Break out ALL your Christmas stamps and your favorite mediums and create until the reindeer fly. This is what I have started my “Christmas card/tag journey” with, for 2019. I pulled out 3 of my favorite “Art Impressions”,  Christmas sets then pulled out some of my favorite mediums, some paint, fiber, and ribbon. First I stamped and colored my images. Yes, because I love the light fastness of pigment ink I pulled out my “VersaFine” quick-dry pigment ink and stamped the images that I wanted to color. Coloring was easy with my artist quality pencil crayons and I used Gamsol to blend. Now for the tag background …. this was easy & crazy quick!…

Hello! Kim here, sharing a cute, birthday card I’ve recently made! As I rummaged through my stash of previously made cards, I realized I was getting low on birthday cards! This will be a quick card to make multiples of, to have on hand! For this card, I have used my Art Impression’s Cupcake BFFs stamp. I stamped it to the left side of a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Superstock. My sentiment was stamped separately and cut with a circle punch. I colored the image with my NEW Chameleon Fineliner Pens, I adore them! Like their big sisters, the Chameleon Pens, the Fineliners can provide tonal, colour transitions like magic! Think how beautiful your journals and planners can be! Here, however I have coloured my image using dots and lines – it is such a FUN way to colour smaller images! I’ve added a narrow strip of patterned paper to…

Hello everyone! Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog creating Camouflage with Chameleon Color Tone pens and Art Impressions. I had a lot of fun with the Ole Buck set by Art Impressions this week. The stamp set is comprised of punny sentiments and fun camp accessories. Making a set of masculine cards was a fun creative interruption. I work with several hunters and I’m excited to have some “guy” cards in my stash. I created three different cards using a combo of papers from Carta Bella’s Fall Break collection, the Old Buck stamps, and some earthy Chameleon pens. I wanted my men to be wearing some type of camouflage and it was easy to create the look using 3 or 4 different earthy colours. To mimic Camo I scribbled randomly with Chameleon Color Tone pens in Olive, Fawn, Taupe, and Bisque. Here’s how it came together……
