From Dies to Stamps with Eileen Hull

Hi friends- Eileen Hull here from sunny and warm Virginia! Yesterday it hit 70 degrees out and it seems I caught a touch of spring fever. I decided to make a thank you card in pretty pastels to celebrate spring. Using Dies to Make Stamps I don’t know about you, but nothing makes me happier than finding multiple ways to use my dies. I decided to go through my Thinlits collection and create stamps from some of my favorite elements. I also used a frame shape from the Trinket Box die and was happy that it fit perfectly on the front of an A-2 card! Such a fun way to use your dies. My ColorBox Blends inks by were used to stamp the design – Blends are an applicator, inker, and re-inker all in one. They have ten times as much ink as a stamp pad. Blends are a Crafters…

Life is tough sometimes. For those going through hardships, we often don’t know what to say or do. Usually, we can’t do very much besides be there and listen. For those times, a card can be a great way to show love and support. Sympathy cards are never fun to make. I really believe Stampin’ Up! has done a great job finding the words we all want to say in the Beautiful Promenade stamp set. The Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper is photographic paper. It’s perfect to create cards quickly. For this particular card, I was going for a vintage floral feel. I distressed the edges of the cardstock first with the open edge of my scissors and then matched the ink with the cardstock sponging over the edges. “Houston, we have a problem” – I accidentally ripped the top of the card while I was distressing and instead of…

There’s a new baby joining my family! Hey crafters, Nicole Wright here and no it’s not me! My great nephew will be here in a couple months and I needed a card STAT for the baby shower. Let me set the scene… I need a quick card because I have left it to the last minute. My Brother Scan N’ Cut2 is perfect for making this quick card in just 15 minutes. I whipped through the cuts and went straight for the animals. I mean you can’t go wrong with a giraffe. I select the cuts and adjust my size to fit my standard card. Load my scrap paper onto the cut mat… in the middle because it’s sticky there. I cut the words in both patterned paper and black to create a shadow. Why not… I’m already cutting right. Hi, Connie Nichol here today with a selection of shimmery foiled Christmas cards I made with Therm O Web Foil-Mates and Fancy Foils from Gina K Designs. I am new to the idea of foiling, and I have to tell you that I am in LOVE. Although I was initially intimidated by the idea, it is so simple to create these beautiful cards. You just place the foil of your choice over a pre-printed toner sheet (the Foil-Mates), run it through a laminator and the magic happens. Here are a few cards that I whipped up – once you start laminating foils onto patterns, it’s hard to stop! Just add a bit of ribbon or a couple of flowers and you’re good to go. You can even use the used foil for a card background as I did in the last card. The used foils are too pretty to throw…
