Art Impressions Christmas Tags with Cathie Allan

Can you smell it …. can you feel it ….. ? Fall is here and that means Christmas is right around the corner. Oh, for a card/tag maker this is the “funnest” time of the year. Break out ALL your Christmas stamps and your favorite mediums and create until the reindeer fly. This is what I have started my “Christmas card/tag journey” with, for 2019. I pulled out 3 of my favorite “Art Impressions”, Christmas sets then pulled out some of my favorite mediums, some paint, fiber, and ribbon. First I stamped and colored my images. Yes, because I love the light fastness of pigment ink I pulled out my “VersaFine” quick-dry pigment ink and stamped the images that I wanted to color. Coloring was easy with my artist quality pencil crayons and I used Gamsol to blend. Now for the tag background …. this was easy & crazy quick!…

While demoing and doing make’n takes in the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine booth in Dallas at the Stamp & Scrap Expo I had the absolute pleasure to meet Cindy Sartain, owner of Dare 2B Artzy, stamps, dies & stencils. Good “almost” Valentine’s Day to you all. Creating a message of love for someone that is dear to you takes that message to an entirely new level. Your message becomes a keepsake that your loved one will treasure for many years to come and possibly if your loved ones are like my husband …. it’ll be cherished forever! Happy Halloween with Cathie Allan

Hello everyone, Cathie Allan here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Welcome to my “spooky”, “get your Great Pumpkin, belief on”, Happy Halloween blog post! I truly had some “outrageous inky fun” creating this fun card with some new techniques that I have been playing with. These are not meant to scare you … these techniques are easy, fun and so “freaky” versatile, from the fun new way I am creating the background using my Clearsnap ColorBox inks … to the “foilicious” way I played with my pumpkin die cuts… to the “spooky/sparkly, embossed” fun of the finished look of my Impression Obsession, Happy Halloween, die. Make-n-Takes With Cathie Allan

Hello everyone! Cathie Allan here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Today, I thought I would share the Make-n-Take, from an event I did with Katharina in Chantilly, Virginia. First I will tell you this was an exceptional event. If you are a paper crafter of any kind you will want to be at their next event. So many booths, vendors, door prizes, a huge crop and more. Creative Scrapbooker Magazine was there and we met so very many amazing paper crafters, made new friends and shared ideas. Here is the 10-minute make-n-take that the participants did in our booth. We had so much fun creating these speedy little tags, sharing ideas, laughing and giggling together. Once I got home, I took the same ideas and created more tags and a scrapbook page.
