Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a simple scrapbook layout featuring a beautiful patterned paper line from Creative Memories stamps and digital cut files from Quietfire Design cut with the Sizzix Eclips 2. and some stitching with the Brother Sewing Machine The scrapbooking process is a little different for everyone, but when I start with a Quietfire Design quote stamp, I am totally inspired by the quote and go from there. I looked through my photos and found this one of my friend Jackie with a massive hydrangea bush from 2013 that I thought would do the quote justice. Next, I selected the beautiful Creative Memories Watercolour Paper Pack and Watercolor Love Embellishments to form the basis of the layout. The soft colours and patterns are just beautiful. Hello! Kim here, just logging in to share my take on this month’s Sketchy Challenge! This month, for the most part, I stayed true to Kelly’s sketch. As always, a sketch is a fun place to start creating from…especially if your mojo is on hiatus. I pulled out my “A Year to Remember” collection from Creative Memories, and had fun going through the many different embellishments to find the ones that I felt worked best. I really like the colour palette of this collection, and look forward to pulling it out again. Here’s a detail shot of the banners. These bottles filled with vibrant pigment ink have been showing up on all our Design Team projects! Here Desiree Saskiw has used citronella coloured Aladine Izink distributed by Clearsnap to create a bright journaling block in the center of her layout. She then added her journaling and doodled frame using a black Creative Memories black Dual-Tip pen. All those little chipboard elements are stuck on her layout using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Dodz.
