Hi everyone – Noreen Smith here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog.Do you use sketches in your scrapbooking? They are so versatile and you can use them over and over again, right? Well, you can really do the same thing with a card sketch! At this time of year there are so many occasions that you might be creating cards for, so why not use one sketch as the basic design and change up your supplies to create all of the cards you need quickly and easily? Each month I design a β1-2-3 Card Sketchβ that gets its name because it uses just 1 sentiment, 2 paper shapes and 3 embellishments. I create a handout with the sketch and measurements as well as samples of the finished cards, along with a video that demonstrates how quick it can be to create cards using this formula (if youβre interested, you…

Hello everyone, Kerry Engel here with one sketch – three different projects.Β This is a good sketch for a big or dominant photo that really tells your story. The curvy diagonal lines create movement and energy.Β Supplies: Β Creative Memories Cap and Gown Collection, Clearsnap ColorBox ink and embossing powder, Β Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Stampin’ Up! gold thread, Studio Calico brad. An old Colleague of mine posted her graduation photos on Facebook one day and I instantly had an urge to scrap them. The Cap and Gown collection from Creative Memories has several β2107β embellishments but itβs really a versatile collection. The colors work really well with vintage photos.Β I glammed it up a bit with gold embossing powder and shiny brads and thread. The papers held up well to mix media techniques. And the coordinating album is a really classy. Β Supplies: Donna Salazar for Β Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Β Denim Art Journal and…

Hello, Connie Nichol here to show you one of Creative Memories predesigned albums, Woodland Whimsy Baby Boy. Β It is gorgeous and makes memory keeping so easy. Β All the design work has already been done, so basically you just add photos and journalling and embellish as desired. Β Here’s a two page spread I did in a matter of minutes. I’ll take you through the process so you can see how easy it is. Β Here’s the album cover. Β Isn’t it cute? The album comes with 16 pre-printed double sided pages. Β Here’s the one I worked with – I selected six 4×6 photos and placed them on the designated spaces. Β (I added one black and white photo just for fun). Cute, but I wanted to ad some more oomph, so I started by matting some of the photos with cards from the Woodland Whimsy Mat Pack. Β These were the perfect size and colours…

Hello everyone – Kerry Engel here!Iβve got a soft spot for Creative Memories. I started my scrapbooking journey with them 20 years ago. I have over 25 completed CM albums. All of my layouts have a home in one of their albums. Their latest collection is a hit with my youngest daughter. . . sheΒ loves the Β adorable big-eyed critters. Β Β When I saw the baby animals I thought theyβd rock a tag. Iβve been addicted to tags this year. I find them a fun alternative to cards and great additions to my scrapbook pages. 1. Make a βtagβ base. I made the big tags using a couple of CM punches and a sheet of stickers. To start, I cut rectangles from Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock and then used the CM 4-way Corner Punch to create funky scalloped corners and oblong hole. Give stickers dimension. I stuck some of the Woodland Whimsy…
Hello! Iβm happy to be here to share a special layout created with products from the gorgeous new βForever Yoursβ Collection by Creative Memories! The collection is designed to help you preserve your wedding memories, but it worked just as beautifully to preserve the memory of a very special woman. My mom passed away recently and sheβs been on my mind a lot. I wanted to create a layout to remember her by that featured one of the last photos taken of us before her Alzheimerβs disease became very advanced. I knew that the colors in the photo would work beautifully with the colors in the Forever Yours papers (rich cream, silvery gray, gold, navy and pink) and the coordinating Stickers and Pearl Adhesive Gems from the Embellishment Pack. I also used CMβs lustrous Gold Shimmer Cardstock as a backdrop, and Navy ABC/123 Stickers for my title. I wanted to…
