Hello crafty friends, Tracy McLennon here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog to share a little layout that I created. But first, I am going to admit it right now….I LOVE food, and I am one of those people that loves to take photos of beautiful food. So when I saw the Delish Collection from Paper House Productions ….well I knew I would have some fabulous photos to create with. Why do I take photos of food from time to time? Well, it brings back some great memories of vacations, special nights out or even just some of my favourite locally made foods. I remember conversations and occasions when I see the photos. Sometimes you just have to take a second and admire the culinary talent and beauty of some meals. Photos don’t have to always be of people to triggers fabulous memories. The Project The Project Recipe Paper…

Hello everyone – Noreen Smith here today. I’m so happy to be here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog to share a layout created with Creative Memories’ new Countryside Comforts collection! This is a HUGE collection of gorgeous double-sided patterned papers, printed vellum, stickers, laser-cut word art embellishments, slide-in cards, pre-designed pages in both 12” x 12” and 8” x 8” sizes and stunning coordinating album covers! The patterns and colors in the collection are rich, muted tones that call to mind cozy fabrics like retro plaid and floral upholstery and homey cross stitch samplers, and I couldn’t wait to use them with some family photos taken last fall. I also wanted to play with some of Creative Memories amazing punches, especially the new Victorian Fence Border Punch.I used two pieces of Beige Cardstock as the base for my double page spread as it provides a warmer, softer background than…

Hi everyone! Noreen Smith here, and I’m so happy to be back on the Creative Scrapbooker blog today sharing a couple of projects made with Creative Memories’ new school-themed Bookworm Collection! A Peek at the Bookworm Collection I’m sure I say this every year, but where has the summer gone? It’s hard to believe that it’s the middle of August and my kids will be starting school in just a couple of weeks! But, I must admit that Back-to-School is one of my favorite times of the year.Β  I love thinking about the possibilities of the year ahead, buying fun new stationary supplies and enjoying the hint of fall leaves in the air. As I’ve been getting ready for the new school year, I just had to stop to reflect on past school years and create a quick layout and teacher gift with CM’s cute new products! For the…

Hello everyone Tracy McLennon here today! This was my first time creating a layout using an 8×12 photo. I was inspired by seeing others online using large photos on scrapbook layouts and decided to take the leap. 8X12 is a full frame image, and almost always a size option where ever you go to print your photos.SUPPLIES: Creative Memories patterned paper, stickers, circle cutters and circle punches, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L double sided tape, E-Z Runner Grand tape runner, 3D Foam Squares and Adhesive Dots. I chose this photo of my water loving pooch at sunset, to pair with the super cute Fur Buddies collection from Creative Memories. Some simple patterned paper layers create the base of this layout. Then you get to add all of those adorable coordinating stickers and embellishments. Throw on some coordinating buttons and you have a striking layout. Have a wonderful day everyone Tracy To…

Hi everyone Noreen Smith once again playing with Creative Memories! Happy to be back on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog today sharing a couple of layouts made with Creative Memories’ new Slice of Summer seasonal products! As soon as I saw the papers, stickers and variety mat pack for this collection I knew it would work for lots of fun summer photos. For the first layout I chose several photos of my family at the beach last year in Osoyoos, British Columbia. The photos are not the best, as the sun was behind my sons as they stood in the lake, but I wanted to use them to remember the lovely, relaxing holiday that we had. I figured that cropping them down would help, so I chose the best photo to leave as the largest (4” x 4”), then trimmed down the supporting photos to 3” x 3”. I matted all…

A new way to organize our lives is taking the creative industry by storm….look out planners, here comes the bullet journal! What is a bullet journal, or ‘bujo’ for short? Essentially it’s a way to organize our daily lives, tracking anything like daily schedules, tasks, or moods or exercise or nutrition….the list (no pun intended) is endless. All you need to start with is a blank notebook, and there are lots to choose from. One of the more popular journals is a Leuchtturm brand, which is a hardcover book with grids or lines or dots. I decided to get a Leuchtturm with a dot grid, and then I went online to learn more. A few YouTube videos later, I joined a bullet journal Facebook group and jumped in to create my first ‘weekly spread’ with a big bunch of fabulous Tombow products. To design all the colourful elements, I used…

Hello everyone Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. We had a lot of celebrating going on in my family this year. Our oldest daughter has graduated from the University of Alberta. Creative Memories Cap and Gown Collection provides a lot of inspiration for layouts and cards. This collection also has a coordinating album – which I love. Β Super quick and super easy. Β In this layout I used the Variety Mat Pack to create a faux pocket page.Β  The only additional item I used was Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Creative Photo corners.Β  I adhered stickers on cardstock and fussy cut out the stickers and mounted them on foam squares to create some dimension. Β You did it card I like the challenge of trying to create fun cards from Variety Mat Packs and stickers. I layered the 4×6 card on the 4.5×6.5 card and used stickers, Scrapbook Adhesives…

Hello everyone! Thanks for joining me on the Creative Scrapbooker blog today! As I was looking through the papers of Creative Memories β€œForever Yours” collection; I paused at the journal card I have used on this layout, and started looking at the papers and embellishments so much differently. These papers didn’t lend themselves to only wedding pages and so began the starting point for my layout! I sorted through to get a general idea of which patterns I wanted to work with and I knew from the get go I wanted to make dimensional flowers from the embellishment pack! This collection has lots of lovely patterned paper as well as a coordinating vellum pack. Once I had my picture chosen and a basic idea of where to place things I started to play with building the flowers! I stacked, curled, bent and glued the pieces and LOVE how they turned…
