Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout that features Graphic 45 patterned paper from the Enchanted Forest line and theΒ Dream die manufactured byΒ Elizabeth Crafts Designs and designed by Quietfire Designs. This was a very simple layout to create. Β I just layered different pieces of Graphic 45 patterned paper from the 6×6 and 8×8 Enchanted Forest paper pads, putting some of the smaller pieces on with dimensional foam adhesive by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and embellishing with machine stitching and bits of May Arts ribbon. Β The page title is a die manufactured by Elizabeth Craft Designs. Β Perfect for a page about a boy and his books. Β The beautiful calligraphic word dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs inspire me to create many layouts. I also added a couple of butterflies cut with the Sizzix Eclips 2 using from Quietfire Designs Butterfly Heart Card cutting file shown below. Β The file is…
Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a summer layout featuring digital cut files and a stamp from Quietfire Design. Β Β A few years ago my boys decided to canoe (i.e. float) down the North Saskatchewan River. Β They launched in Edmonton, and I was instructed to pick them up downstream in three hours time. Β Unfortunately, the river was quite low and the current slow, and it took a lot longer than the predicted three hours. Β Of course, my husband had no cell phone with him so I had no idea where the canoe was. Β I waited and I waited and they finally showed up…… phew. Β They have never repeated that particular adventure. I love the versatility of having an electronic die cutting machine. Β It’s amazing. Β Need a canoe to embellish a canoeing layout? Β Presto, wave the magic wand and cut a canoe, paddles and water with your Sizzix Eclips 2. Β Any…
Using Layered Stencils from Elizabeth Craft Designs Hello everyone – Christy Riopel here! I am really enjoying playing with the Elizabeth CraftΒ Designs new layered stencils. It lets you create two coloured patterns with ease! Supplies: Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock, Elizabeth Craft Designs Dies, Stencils and Paper, Clearsnap Dye Ink, Liquitex paint, Tombow Mono Multi liquidglue, thrift store scrabble tiles, Sakura Pens Here are the Elizabeth Craft Designs Β supplies I used. Step1: using an ink applicator like this ClearsnapΒ stylus with a foam tip, apply red inks to the cherry part of the stencil. Step 2: layer the stem part of the stencil over top so each stem aligns with a pair of cherries. You can easily see through the stencil to do this. Step 3: using green inks sponge the ink over the stem parts of the stencil This gives you a two colour finished image when you lift off…
Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a heritage wedding layout featuring FabScraps papers and embellishments, a beautiful Remember word and stitched circle dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs and a romantic stamp from Quietfire Designs. I found this photograph of my grandparents wedding in a shoe box. Β Both of my grandparents passed away quite some time ago and I think it is important to capture the who, what, when before all the details are forgotten. Β Actually, if the date of the wedding was not written on the back of the photo, I would have had no idea when they got married. I was totally inspired by the May Sketch by Kelly Klapstein in the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s sketchy challenge. Β Sketches are such a fast way to get started on a new layout. Β I flipped this one and used a paper doily from the dollar store for the circular element. Β This sketch…
Hello, Connie Nichol here today with an easy layout about one of my favourite flowers. Β Oh, how I adore the smell of these tiny flowers which appear reliably in my flower bed every May. Β Lily of the Valley plants can spread quite aggressively so I keep them segregated in their own flower bed on a shady side of the garage. Β I was inspired to create this layout by the new Elizabeth Craft Designs 4 seasons words dies and a most beautiful lily of the valley cut file from Quietfire Design. I cut the lily of the valley embellishments out of CTMH cardstock with my Sizzix Eclips2 electronic die cutting machine. Β The CTMH cardstock cuts beautifully, it is just the right weight. The page background is made by spritzing some Clearsnap Silver Foil Smooch Spritz over a Crafter’s Workshop template. The title is cut out with several Elizabeth Craft Designs…
Hello, it’s Connie Nichol here today with a quick layout featuring the Simple Stories ‘So Rad’ line. Β As the mother of boys, I adore the colours and patterns. Β It’s so bright and energetic. Β The word dies ‘Live’ and ‘Laugh’ from Elizabeth Craft Designs are perfect accents to many scrapbook pages, especially those that feature whitewater rafting. Β Haha. Β The Rocky Mountains are about a four or five hour drive from my house and we try to get to Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia every couple of years. Β I really love it there. Β The last couple of trips my family has spent a day on the river with Kootenay River Runners. Β So much fun and it is great to introduce our boys to all sorts of different experiences. I created this layout using the Simple Stories – So Rad Collection Β I used a Quietfire Design stamp to embellish the page.…

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout featuringΒ a Quietfire Design stamp and an assortment of Elizabeth Craft Designs dies and patterned paper. Β I love using quotes on my scrapbook pages and am often inspired by the stamps I find on the Quietfire Designs website. Elizabeth Craft Designs has just released some 6×6 paper packs featuring close up phototographs taken byΒ Els van de Burgt of stone, wood and metal. Β Pretty cool idea! For the page title, I just used the word ‘Happy’ from the Happy Anniversary die set and sponged it with some Clearsnap ink to take the edge off of the white cardstock. Β The Stitched Oval dies are one of my favourite ECD sets. Β The sizes and shapes seem to be just right for stamped sentiments and I adore the perforated edges. Β A nice elegant look with no fuss. Β The little pail and shovel I used as…
