Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a heritage wedding layout featuring FabScraps papers and embellishments, a beautiful Remember word and stitched circle dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs and a romantic stamp from Quietfire Designs.
I found this photograph of my grandparents wedding in a shoe box. Both of my grandparents passed away quite some time ago and I think it is important to capture the who, what, when before all the details are forgotten. Actually, if the date of the wedding was not written on the back of the photo, I would have had no idea when they got married.
I was totally inspired by the May Sketch by Kelly Klapstein in the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s sketchy challenge. Sketches are such a fast way to get started on a new layout. I flipped this one and used a paper doily from the dollar store for the circular element. This sketch was really good for using small pieces of patterned paper for maximum impact. I chose several sheets of French Grey patterned paper from the FabScraps Tranquility line. The designs and colour were perfect to accent a heritage wedding photo.
The corner embellishment in the upper left of the scrapbook layout is a piece of chipboard from FabScraps. I covered it with Top Boss embossing ink from Clearsnap and embossed with white embossing powder. I repeated this twice more to get a nice smooth metallic finish.
The page title is a word die from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I was so happy when this die was released a couple of months ago. The word Remember is such a perfect page title.
The stamp is from a Valentines set from Quietfire Design. I have used this stamp before on other wedding layouts. I adore it. So romantic.
I cut the sentiment out with the Elizabeth Craft Designs stitched circle dies. The stitch marks take a regular circle onto a whole new level.
I added a few metal FabScraps embellishments and a few flowers from my stash and another layout is done.
I stuck everything together using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
Happy scrapbooking!
