Every season has a story Back to routine.Β Back to photo management.Β Every month I go through my photos and hit βdeleteβ. Typically, this does happen every month but not this summer.Β While trying to catch up, I ran across these photos from a last minute trip to Cape Spear, Newfoundland β only a twenty minute drive from my home. This story needed to be told right now. I jumped off the couch and got every rolling. In fact, I had already documented this story on a blog post.Β All I had to do now was put the layout together. This time I started with the story.Β I copy and pasted the story from the blog post onto an 8.5×11β canvas in Photoshop.Β I hit print. I printed the photos with a border using my Canon Selphy printer knowing which photos I wanted where.Β Note that the two vertical ones…
Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a layout featuring Bo Bunny, Elizabeth Craft Designs Way with Words dies and a Quietfire Design stamp. Β This layout was inspired by the September sketch in the Creative Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge. Β It turned out looking nothing like the sketch, but hey. Β That’s the creative process. Β A sketch is a good place to start! Here’s the September sketch designed by Kelly Klapstein. Β Be sure to go check out the new Sketchy Gallery and upload your interpretation of this sketch. Β I love to see how everyone else’s projects turn out. The photos in this layout are of my friend Sue and her beautiful daughter Caitlin from 11 years ago. Β We used to take our children on all sorts of little adventures, and although the kids don’t remember any of them now, not a single one, the stamped quote is totally true. Β All the things we…

Here is a layout I found in the CSM archives Christy created years ago. Christy Β created this layout for a feature we were going to run many years ago about our CS Team’s individual scrapbooking spaces. Β It was one of those features that didn’t fly. Β The layouts were archived for a rainy day. Β We never wrote down the supplies that Christy used to create this layout. One thing is for certain – Christy loved her art studio. Β So did we! Creative Scrapbooker Magazine is honoured to announce that we have started an ART Scholarship in Christy’s name. For those of you interested in honouringΒ Christy Riopel and helping her legacy of ART continue, we are collecting donations for art scholarships for youth through the Boys & Girls Club of Calgary. Here is a blog post from Christy from a few years ago for you to enjoy. Written in Christy’s words. The other day I was working on this layout with the fabulous paper and embellishments from FarmHouse Paper company and May Arts ribbon and I really felt like the beautiful rustic quality needed to be accented and off set with a little glitter. Perplexed with how to add it, I decided not to over think it and grabbed my trusty Β Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Β tape runner and added stripes of the tape runner over the paper. I then poured Craft& Glitz Glamour Glitter all over the tape and burnished it with my finger. I poured off the excess glitter and my paper was ready to build my layout on top off. The glittery stripes add a great level of texture and interest. This simple technique, done with a versatile adhesive…
