Using Layered Stencils from Elizabeth Craft Designs Hello everyone – Christy Riopel here! I am really enjoying playing with the Elizabeth Craft Designs new layered stencils. It lets you create two coloured patterns with ease! Supplies: Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock, Elizabeth Craft Designs Dies, Stencils and Paper, Clearsnap Dye Ink, Liquitex paint, Tombow Mono Multi liquidglue, thrift store scrabble tiles, Sakura Pens Here are the Elizabeth Craft Designs supplies I used. Step1: using an ink applicator like this Clearsnap stylus with a foam tip, apply red inks to the cherry part of the stencil. Step 2: layer the stem part of the stencil over top so each stem aligns with a pair of cherries. You can easily see through the stencil to do this. Step 3: using green inks sponge the ink over the stem parts of the stencil This gives you a two colour finished image when you lift off…
Graphic 45 is known for their unique vintage style, with bold deco patterns. You might think that you could only use vintage photos to create heritage layouts, but that is just not true. Today I am sharing a layout that I created using 2 recent photos of our daughter Zoe. This collection is beautiful and can be for any type of photo you choose. Zoe has just graduated high school and is heading to university in Montreal in the fall. Where has the time gone? These photos, taken by a a photographer friend of hers, show more than ever just how grown up, beautiful and independent she has become. We are so proud of her. This collection from Graphic 45 suits that sentiment perfectly. Project Recipe: Graphic 45- Communique Collection: patterned papers, stickers, tag May Arts Ribbon- Ivory Burlap String Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock- Neutrals Clearsnap Colorbox Archival Dye Ink-…
Hello everyone! Jayme Loge here today! For my day job, I work in a school as an education assistant. In previous years, my assignment has been to provide literacy support to several classes. This meant working with several teachers and a rotating group of kids. Due to student needs, my assignment this past year has been in one classroom. It was a wonderful experience to work closely with one teacher and student group. I decided to get the kids together to work on a special end of the year gift for the teacher. They ended up creating this wonderful canvas! Supplies Used: Canvas- Michaels 16×20 Stencils- Donna Downey (Keyhole Splatter, Bubbles, Halftone Dots); Tim Holtz (Speckles, Lace) Paint- Ranger Dylusions Stamps- Frog’s Whiskers Ink Ink- Clearsnap We worked for weeks in a secret location, kids giving up their recess time in turn so everyone got a chance to contribute.
