Today on the blog we welcome Katelyn Grosart Hi Everyone! Iβm Katelyn Grosart and I live in beautiful Calgary, Alberta with my boyfriend of 6 years.Β Iβve spent the last 7 years in the papercrafting worldΒ creating cards, mixed media pages, scrapbook layouts, mini albums and altered items. In my spare time when Iβm not crafting I like to read a good book and when the weather is nice, youβll often find me outside taking advantage of the beautiful Canadian weather. Iβm excited to be a guest blogger today for the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. The wonderful ladies at the magazine asked if I wanted to guest blog for them and I couldnβt pass up this amazing opportunity. Crazy Cats can Dream too! Nicole here share this funny little card and an easy tutorial for a background.Β This card is inspired by my crazy cat.Β She ate my stampsβ¦yep you saw that right.Β She ate my Upstream stamps. I hauled out my Upstream stamps and Crazy Cats stamps and Sizzix Crazy Cat dies.Β I cut Dream with the Alphanumeric die on Sizzix leather paper.Β I stamped this crazy cat onto watercolor paper inked with Ranger Β Archival Jet Black. I used Ranger Ink Distress Markers hickory smoke, carved pumpkin, twisted pumpkin and vintage photo to create my tabby crazy cat.Β Just like Miss Flurryβ¦ the stamp eating cat.Β I just got the Sizzix Crazy Cat dies so it was so great to not fussy cut. Hello, Connie Nichol here today with an easy layout about one of my favourite flowers. Β Oh, how I adore the smell of these tiny flowers which appear reliably in my flower bed every May. Β Lily of the Valley plants can spread quite aggressively so I keep them segregated in their own flower bed on a shady side of the garage. Β I was inspired to create this layout by the new Elizabeth Craft Designs 4 seasons words dies and a most beautiful lily of the valley cut file from Quietfire Design. I cut the lily of the valley embellishments out of CTMH cardstock with my Sizzix Eclips2 electronic die cutting machine. Β The CTMH cardstock cuts beautifully, it is just the right weight. The page background is made by spritzing some Clearsnap Silver Foil Smooch Spritz over a Crafter’s Workshop template. The title is cut out with several Elizabeth Craft Designs…

SUCH A HANDSOME βDEXTERβ PUPPY! By Cathie Allan Here is a quick and fun layout using some βtimeless stamping toolsβ.Β I kept the steps for this βaltered scrapbook layoutβ simple and fast. After stamping the βLine Backgroundβ stamp from Frogβs Whiskers Ink several times on our Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock (my favorite cardstock for my projects) in Clearsnap ColorBox Blackbird, Fluid Chalk ink I added super quick coloring with my Tombow pens. Quess what? I have been stamping a long, long time and my Tombow pens are years old and still are full of ink and ready to go. The capping system is so good on these particular pens that you will get every bit of ink out of them so long as you put the caps back on. I love this! I did not do any βfancy coloringβ I just added color. After that I used my Clearsnap ColorBox…
Hello, it’s Connie Nichol here today with a quick layout featuring the Simple Stories ‘So Rad’ line. Β As the mother of boys, I adore the colours and patterns. Β It’s so bright and energetic. Β The word dies ‘Live’ and ‘Laugh’ from Elizabeth Craft Designs are perfect accents to many scrapbook pages, especially those that feature whitewater rafting. Β Haha. Β The Rocky Mountains are about a four or five hour drive from my house and we try to get to Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia every couple of years. Β I really love it there. Β The last couple of trips my family has spent a day on the river with Kootenay River Runners. Β So much fun and it is great to introduce our boys to all sorts of different experiences. I created this layout using the Simple Stories – So Rad Collection Β I used a Quietfire Design stamp to embellish the page.…
Happy Mother’s Day!Β We hope you have time this weekend to do take some photos, do some scrapbooking and record those wonderful family memories. The May sketch is up in our Sketchy Gallery ready to inspire you! I was lucky enough to spend some time scrapbooking on National Scrapbook Day and designed 2 layouts based on this sketch.Β The first one features the Simple Stories “Heart” collection. I did a little brush lettering with the Tombow Fudenosuke soft tip brush pen to add “you have my” to the title. For the second layout, I rotated the sketch a quarter turn clockwise and used Fancy Pants Designs “Me-Ology” collection.Β I’m trying to scrapbook more photos of myself this year, and the ME-ology line is perfect! I used the Tombow Monotwin to doodle on the layout and add some interest with black lines.Β The Monotwin has 2 tips of different sizes…
