I have completely fallen in love with Kerry Engel’s martini greeting card! How fun is this beautiful little creation. I can think of a few girlfriends who would get a real giggle out of receiving this card. To create the background Kerry followed these basic steps 1. On a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock, blend Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks. 2. Spritz with water and watch the oxide effect. 3. Gently pat a Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Adhesive sheet onto the base – only part of the adhesive will sit down. 4. Sprinkle with Ranger embossing powder and heat set! Here is a complete list of supplies that Kerry used. Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! I’m back on the blog today to share with you a fun fantasy themed tag. With Fall in the air, it was fun to work with some bright and cheerful patterned paper which had me longing for some sunny weather to come back. The inspiration for my tag came from the “Always Be Yourself Unless You Can Be A Mermaid” card out of the Simple Stories Collection – Dream Big.  To create my tag, I used the Dream Big 12×12 Collection Kit from Simple Stories.  As well as the Chipboard Stickers, 4×6 Stickers and the Bits & Pieces from the Dream Big Collection from Simple Stories.  For the base of my tag, I used the Medium Etcetera Tag from Stampers Anonymous. You’ll need to choose a piece of patterned paper from the Dream Big Collection from Simple Stories to trace the chipboard tag around. Cut the…

Is it already Back to School time?  It sure is and on the blog today we are using the Brother ScanNCut2.  Hey crafters, Nicole here from Nicole Wright Designs and I am excited to start crafting with this awesome machine.  This is my first time creating with the Brother ScanNCut2.   Let’s start off with a simple cut to make a quick card. The Brother  ScanNCut2 comes loaded with a great selection of cuts to get you started.  I selected the “BACK TO SCHOOL” cut. The large touch screen is awesome and user-friendly.  You can adjust the size, cut placement and a lot of other options I will be learning.  Select cut and hit the big green play button!  BAAM… you are cutting! I used some scrap patterned paper and black cardstock to layer a shadow.  I adhered the “BACK TO SCHOOL” patterned paper cut to the black cardstock.  Then I selected…

What screams Birthday more than that confetti look!  Nicole here and I am sharing this fun stamping technique with a variety of Stampers Anonymous Stamp Sets and Rangers new Alcohol Lift- Ink.  This is an easy stamping technique that will work for any stamped image. I used Stampers Anonymous Crazy Cats and Crazy Things stamps for this quick Birthday Card.  Select an assortment of Ranger Alcohol Inks and Yuppo.  Load the Alcohol Ink Applicator with Alcohol Inks and a couple drops of Blending Solution. Dab the Alcohol Ink randomly around the Yuppo paper.  Use a twisting motion while applying the alcohol ink to the Yuppo.  It takes no time to dry so you can pop it right onto the Stamp Platform. Make sure you position your stamp where you want it and load it on the Stamp Platform.  Use the new Alcohol Lift-Ink to load your stamp.  With the stamp loaded…

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a quick scrapbook layout featuring Stampers Anonymous stamps and stencils.   Stampers Anonymous makes some amazing rubber stamps, including the exclusive Tim Holtz collection.   I recently returned from a vacation in Germany, and the Tim Holtz beer and pretzel blueprint stamps were absolutely perfect to accent one of many photographs I took while traveling.  In Germany, beer is often cheaper than soft drinks or coffee. This is the Stampers Anonymous stamp set I used.    The set measures 7 x 8.5 and there are four separate cling stamps.  I stamped the mug of beer and the pretzel onto watercolor paper and coloured with a Tombow marker, using a wet paintbrush to spread the colour. Stampers Anonymous also has a set of 9 acrylic blocks that are perfect for mounting cling, foam or acrylic stamps.  I really like the light weight of these and the large…

Nicole Wright here today celebrating Canada’s 151st birthday!  I love Canada even more since today is also my husband’s birthday.  I always make sure he has a “CANADA DAY” theme card.  This year his card is extra special.  The paper used for the Maple Leaf and side red banners are 116 year old paper from his grandfather’s old book.  It’s ok, I have permission. I will be filming the HOW TO for this card with Creative Scrapbooker Magazine in a few days… while I am on vacation.  For now, check out this inspiration and get ready for this quick video. 1. I cut the Sizzix die cut Layered Leaf with the book page paper to create a Maple Leaf.    The side banners are cut with the same book page.  Each book page is inked with Ranger’s Distress Spray Ink Candied Apple.  To get that intensity I sprayed 2 times, drying…
