Hello crafty friends! Tracy McLennon here and I’m hoping these beautiful summer months are treating you as well as they are me, in my neck of the woods. Just because it’s summer, doesn’t mean I don’t stop creating. But these days I’m usually crafting on rainy days or later at night. Today I am sharing with you a Heritage Layout featuring Stampers Anonymous. I have been on a kick lately of creating heritage layouts. I just love creating using a vintage colour palette and using heritage family photos that I am lucky enough to have access to. Here are the details. I created a stamped border using all of those stunning vintage Ornate Trims stamps from Stampers Anonymous using Ranger Walnut Stain Distress Ink and brown embossing powder. I love a layout with lots of layers and texture, and this layout is no exception. I double matted my 4×6 photo…

Hi, Connie Nichol here this morning with a couple of projects that recycle sewing patterns.Β  If you’ve seen the Summer Issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine, you’ll know I wrote a whole article on this topic.Β  Be sure to grab the magazine if you want a whole bunch of other ideas.Β  Β Among other things, the patterned tissue paper from old sewing patterns makes a great background for cards and scrapbook layouts. Here’s one of the cards I made.Β  Quick and simple and I think a perfect masculine birthday card.Β  Adhere a layer of a recycled sewing pattern to a piece of white cardstock using gel medium.Β  A gel medium is simply a binder without pigment that comes in various thicknesses, sheens, and transparencies.Β  I like the Dina Wakely matte gel medium from Ranger.Β  Β Just use a sponge brush or paint brush to apply gel medium to the base layer of cardstock…

Hello everyone, Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog excited to share with you a fun little technique to make your stamped images POP with little or no effort using a white opaque pigment pen by Ranger. I am going to call this technique – white pen painting. LOL!Β  I am slightly addicted. To create this layout I used a variety of Stampers Anonymous stamps, Ranger products, Glue Dots Adhesives, MultiCraft Craft Decor burlap ribbon, and wooden embellishments. I challenged myself with this layout to see how many different ways I could use stamps. To be honest I only started using stamps a few years ago when I got into mixed media. This particular group of stamps really inspires me, and they work so well with my Europe photos. When all was said and done I used my stamps in 3 different ways. I used the following…

Hello! Kim here again with a simple Silly Goose Pocket Page layout to share. I have been tearing apart my scrapbooking space to make way for renovations [yet again!]. It’s scary what lurks in corners and drawers that you forget you ever had. I had a ton of stuff tucked into my little room that has now found temporary homes all over my house! I have purged some things and fell back in love with older product, it has been a process. During this process I found some old American Crafts 6×12 page protectors that were divided into 3-4×6 pockets. I figured I give a pocket page a try, something I haven’t really adopted for my style of projects. I have to admit, it was really fun and stress free!I used a sheet of paper from Heartfelt Creations’ Young at Heart collection and cut 3-4×6 pieces. I layered my photos…

Hi Friends and welcome to theΒ  Β Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog.Β It is Karan Gerber here on the blog today with a school layout featuring 49 and Market. When I was thinking about what I wanted to create for you, I thought of the days when my boys went to school. It seems like so long ago.Β  We are in the month of June and I am sure many of you will be looking for ideas for your school photos. so I have created a masculine school layout using the Mini Old School Collection from 49 and Market. To begin with, I am using a photo of my oldest son from 2013, this is his Grade 12 photo which measures 3.5 x 5, I cut 4 photo mats from other papers in this collection begins with a 3.75 x 5.75 and each photo mat was 1/4 inch larger than the last, I…

Welcome to March…Pam Bray here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Blog creating a fun little mixed media tag. Time to start creating and what better way but to grab some Tim Holtz fabulous products to create with! I am sharing a tutorial on how easy the Ranger Distress Oxides are to use along with Sizzix Dies and Stampers Anonymous Stamps to “create” a mixed media tag! Begin by die cutting a Sizzix Tag and Book Plate from white cardstock and chipboard. Apply Wild Honey to craft mat; spritz with water and drag white cardstock through the mist. Dry. Repeat with Picked Raspberry and again with Crackled Pistachio to create background paper. Remember to dry between applications. Die cut prepared cardstock using one of the dies from Sizzix Mixed Media #5 Die Set. Adhere pattern paper to the top of chipboard. Adhere prepared background to top of prepared chipboard. Stamp…
