Here’s the story. My best friend had a baby.Β  In fact, she had her second little girl. Because this was her second, I told her I was planning something special for her instead of more clothes or toys that she didn’t necessarily need. Sounding good so far, right? Well, I planned to create an album using this Project Life β„’ kit: Hello Baby by Stampin’ Up! Β I was going to build her a first year album so that all my Mommy friend had to do was slip those pictures in the slots. I am always full of good ideas but I really don’t know where I think time grows… it sure isn’t on trees. At least not on the kind of trees I have in my backyard. … if you ever find a time tree or better yet a money tree, would you mind sending me a treasure map so…

#imbringingbirthdaysback It’s a movement. A movement supported by Shannon West and Stampin’ Up! A movement to make sure that people feel the love on their birthdays with handmade cards. It seems to be a perfect match for me. And certainly I don’t need another excuse to create a card. When Stampin’ Up! released the 2016 Occasions catalogue, I knew that I needed the Balloon Bouquet punch but I didn’t take it out of the package until now… and now I can’t stop playing with them. There are two balloon sizes in this punch. In addition, there’s an even smaller balloon punch with the Party Punch pack. I mean, really… these balloons will never get old. To create this card, I heat embossed several gold balloons from the Balloon Celebration stamp set on watercolour paper. Using my Stampin’ Up! markers and an Aquapainter, I coloured the balloons. After punching them out,…

Hello everyone, it’s Kim Gowdy here today! This is kind of a “sequel” to my last post where I coloured on Core’dinations Glitter Cardstock. This time I want to share a similar idea but with a REALLY cool new product…Core’dinations Glitter Prints. This card was made by downloading a colouring design from the Chameleon Pens website. You have to sign up for their newsletter to access the downloads…it so worth it because you get lots of tutorials and eye candy! It was printed on the Glitter Prints and coloured using my Chameleon Pens. Though hard to see in this image…it shimmers and shines! The paper played beautifully with my inkjet printer and dried super fast! So…you saw a simple image printed beautifully, that alone is exciting but check out this layout I created. All the pictures were printed out on the Glitter Prints paper as well! So FUN! I was…

Hello Creative Scrapbookers! Kim Gowdy here with a simple but fun idea, that we have visited before. I often like to find ways to bring trends into the stash I already have if possible. There is no denying that adult colouring is a huge trend! Here is my twist from my own scrapbook stash. I made these cards by stamping images from my Impression Obsession stamps onto Core’dinationsΒ Glitter Paper. Use a multi-surface ink like ClearsnapΒ ColorBox Chalk Inks, I used Charcoal. Let it dry…it WILL take longer than on regular paper…be patient. Once it’s dry I grabbed my Chameleon Pens and coloured away…it was so fun! The alcohol inks flowed beautifully on the glitter paper and dried very quickly. Here is a third quick card I made while I had the glitter cardstock out. I took the arrows from this Stampin’ Up/Sizzix die set and cut them out of the…

Planning and Organizing Your Project Life Scrapbooks with Cathy Caines I am a chronological scrapbooker. I mix traditional layouts and pocket pages. I don’t like to scrapbook in β€œorder”. I jump from date to date, month to month – whatever inspires me in the moment. So, how can I achieve this without feeling overwhelmed? Ah ha. My β€œIn Progress” album. It is my planner of scrapbooks. The β€œIn Progress” album is a system I developed for myself but I know there are other memory keepers like me out there… and you need my help. It is an album that holds all my incomplete pages (and some completed pages) until they are ready to move into their final albums. It kind of looks like this – lots of Post-itsβ„’! How does this work? Once a month, I go through the following process: Step 1: Delete any photos that are taking up…

Hello, Connie Nichol here today. Β I am so super impressed with the Stampin’ Up! Tin of Cards Project Kit – if you have not seen this and need some gorgeous handmade cards without much fuss, this is perfect! Β It also makes the best present!! I had a bit of free time yesterday so I sat down with a cup of tea and unpacked the Tin of Cards Project kit, not really sure what to expect. Β Within an hour, I had made sixteen beautiful cards that came with envelopes and a lovely tin to store everything in. Β Here are some of them…. The kit comes with 16 card bases and envelopes, assorted die cuts, papers stickers and other embellishments, file tab dividers and instructions Β (if you feel like following instructions, that is). Β I loved that there were also some German and French sentiments in the tin; Β perfect for some of my…
