Hi everyone and welcome to September! You might be a little confused because of the Santas in the pictures above. But it’s definitely September and not December. September 1st was the kick off for the latest Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog and I couldn’t wait to show you some products from the book. These cards stay true to my lean and clean style. The vintage style stamps are incredibly gorgeous. This one, called Father Christmas, is stunning and a must have item. As far as I am concerned, it’s never too early to start preparing for the holiday season. This month I made a quick video to show you how to watercolour easily with the Stampin’ Write markers and an aquapainters. Click on the link below to watch the demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g2aWqHl-sg Enjoy the video, which includes some of my process while creating a card. Until next month creative friends!…

I was hot. I was sweaty. It was time to go in the cool basement where my craft room resides. I was uninspired. But anxious to document a story. I have been doing a lot of wedding projects lately and I haven’t been keeping up with my memory keeping.Β  β€œThis is okay,” I tell myself. I hauled out a 12×12 piece of paper. I slapped some pictures on the page but didn’t feel the rush of creativity running through my veins. I was too lazy to take out a device to browse Pinterest. In fact, it’s more likely that I my bottom was stuck to the chair. We don’t have air conditioning. Blah. Blah. Baa humbug. But I started to flip through the All Year Long Project Lifeβ„’ accessory kit by Stampin’ Up! Then, I found β€œthe item.”  A silver foiled card, which was saying exactly what I wanted to…

Hey everyone, hope your summer has been great to date. I have a quick share today, a card I made, inspired by the June Sketchy Challenge. As I often do, I rotated the sketch. Just by rotating or mirroring a sketch, you can have so many different layouts from the same starting point…give it a go! My desk was too messy to take on a full page layout, yet somehow this card took as much time to figure out! I used cardstock, stamps, ink, markers and dies from Stampin’ Up. If you weren’t aware, their quality dies are made by Sizzix, so they can be used for years and years to come! Everything is held together by various types of Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L products. I used their tape runner, foam squares, photo corners and Dual Tip Glue Pen. Thanks for joining me on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog today.…

Hi everyone! My name is Sherry Roth and am honoured to be here as a guest blogger today to share with you my love for Project Life. First of all I need to start by saying that Project Life has changed my way of thinking about scrapbooking, the way I scrapbook and how much I scrapbook – all for the better! I am so passionate about this type of memory keeping, that I could probably write a book – but I will keep this short and sweet. One of the great things about memory keeping is that there’s no right or wrong way to do it. You can make it work for YOU and that’s what I’ve done with the Project Life system of memory keeping. Each month begins with a calendar page and then includes a combination of pocket pages and traditional pages to record the photos and events…

Happy Monday my friends! These cuties.. right? The minute I saw this little fox, I had to have the Foxy Friends stamp set and matching fox builder punch.Β  Little did I know at the time that this bundle could create more than just a fox! The critters created in these two cards were made from this punch.Β  And believe me, there’s many other cuties you can make. Both of these cards were created with babies in mind.Β  It must be the cuteness factor.Β  Often when I have a shower or there’s a new baby arriving, I am scrambling to make a card. Not now. Not today. I started out by checking out the Stampin’ Up! website to see how the fox was supposed to be built. I stamped and punched in different colours until I was happy with my fox.Β  This is kind of my process for any builder style…

Β  You’re amazing. And do you know why? Because you made 20 cards in one night. Not only that – they are stunning.Β  You just earned yourself a gold star. All you have to do, is get your hands on the Watercolour Wishes card kit from Stampin’ Up! Β #watercolourwishesforthewin This kit comes with everything you need – the stamps, the ink, the washi, sequins, wood veneers – even the adhesive and envelopes are included in this swell looking kraft coloured box. The instructions are included in the box as well. Of course, I didn’t do exactly as the instructions noted – I changed the sentiment and added a sequin or two.Β  I made some slight variations but I certainly didn’t sway from the delightful style. Five cards. I swooned over each one after I made them. Another five cards. The skinny navy and white striped washi.Β  I couldn’t get enough.…

Hello Creative Scrapbookers! Kim gowdy here today! Just a quick blog post sharing my take on the May Sketch, designed by Kelly Klapstein. I used the awesome Coffee Talk collection from Heartfelt Creations to pull my layout together. I loved this collection form the first time I saw it, especially the stamps and dies! As always, I LOVE playing with these sketches…especially when I am in a creative funk! Other products used to complete my page: twine from May Arts Ribbon, India Ink from Clearsnap, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, older Stampin’ Up felt flowers &Β brads and unknown vellum. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek. Be sure to find your way to our Sketchy Gallery to see lots more inspiration from this month’s sketch and all previous months. β€œWhat a beautiful blessing you are to me.” It was perfect.Β  This saying says it all.Β  In eight simple words. I am blessed to have two beautiful women in my life that I can call my mother. My mom and my mother-in-law are beautiful humans that consistently look to the positive.Β  They are rocks under pressure. No matter what problem I bring to them, they make life seem like lollipops and rainbows. They find the answer.Β  They know how to make that pit in your tummy float away. Somehow these two ladies were raised to put one foot in front of the other and survive by looking at their glass half full. I wanted to make them a card that was as beautiful as they are. But I had limited supplies and I had limited creativity. When I have a creativity block, I find it easiest to play…
