Hi everyone – Karen Ellis here! My friend Sheri inspired me to play around with Tombow Markers and white embossing powder this week and I wanted to show you the results …. cause I LOVE it! HAHA Here’s what I used: Tombow Markers – Assorted Colours One of my favourite rubber stamp sets (Catherine Scanlon Designs, Art Gone Wild) Perfect Medium Ink (Ranger Industries) or your favourite embossing ink. White embossing powder Watercolour postcard (Strathmore) or other watercolour paper a waterbrush (not pictured) Heat Gun (not pictured) The first thing to do is emboss a stamped image onto the back of the watercolour postcard with your embossing ink and stamp. Heat to set and get ready to colour!! The embossing acts as a resist to the ink and water. Go ahead and colour a portion of your stamp with the markers and then, with a wet brush, drag the ink…
Hi Everyone! It’s Kelly here to share my new Double the Fun sketch and layout….for our Spring 2016 issue! A double sketch sure comes in handy for big events involving lots of photos, like my daughter’s Graduation last May. I think I will be scrapping those pics a lot especially because a really talented and creative photographer took them. Thank you Madeline Ludlage Photography! I used mostly Momenta papers and products for the design. This gorgeous paper pack by Momenta is called “Perched”. This cardstock patterned paper has beautiful collage images on it. I used a pretty floral Momenta Stencil with a Faber-Castell Texture Gems Gel Liner on the right page. I also used this gold Gel Liner to add dimensional flourishes to each side of my title, which are Momenta alphabet stickers. This gorgeous layered Momenta bird die is so pretty with the embossing. Hi Everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here today to share my layout based on the September Sketchy Challenge. Here is my sketch: I used the gorgeous Kaisercraft collection “Botanica.” Actually, these products were in my September kit from ScrapShotz. With this Kaisercraft stamp set and “Avocado” ink, I added a subtle pattern of leaves to the solid green paper layers. When you stamp several times or ‘values’ without reloading with ink, you can create your own patterned paper (learned from the great ink queen herself, Cathie Allan!) The leaves are cut with my Brother ScanNCut machine After cutting them from mixed media paper, I watercoloured them with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens. Hello everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here today to share a layout I designed using the August Sketch and Creative Memories. Have you heard that Creative Memories has returned to the crafting industry? I know there are many of you who are thrilled about this news! I thought that their papers would be perfect to scrapbook some photos of icebergs I took while visiting Newfoundland in July. Thanks to my friend, Michelle Marks, we went “Iceberg Hunting” and found these beauties! I was in AWE. I used a couple of paper packs from Creative Memories: Neutral and Vintage. I thought the combination of blues and greys worked well for my iceberg themed page. I created the diamond pattern background layer with my Brother ScanNCut machine, cut it from watercolour paper, and then painted it in ombre blue shades with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens. Hello! Kim here to show you how to make some gorgeous watercolour style backgrounds for your stamped images. I will be using a Gel Printing Plate, Tombow markers, water and Canadian Scrapbooker Super Stock. The Canadian Scrapbooker Super Stock works best because it is so strong and can hold up to the amount of wet media used on this project.
