Hello crafty friends! Tracy McLennon here, and today I have a pretty little card to share and a few little step by step tips on simple colouring technique. The stamps and coordinating dies are from Picket Fence Studios. The Que Sera, Sera collection.Β  Here are all of the details. Step one is to stamp the images you would like to use onto white cardstock using Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink. Now I gathered the colours that I wanted to use on my images. A little trick of mine, is that I keeping the backing from my favourite Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Foam Squares. They can be used as blending surfaces. I always have a little pile of them at my desk for just this purpose. Often when I am colouring I like to add colour straight to cardstock in the areas where I want the colour the darkest. Here is…

Hello crafty friends! Tracy here and today I have a pretty little card to share today featuring Gateway Dies and the Cascading Wisteria collection from Heartfelt Creations. Here are all of the details. First I used my Heartfelt Creations Gateway dies to cut my layers from white and Luxe Gold Cardstock. To create my card base I folded a piece of white cardstock in half and die cut it using the largest die from the set, making sure to keep the card’s fold intact. I stamped and die cut all of the Wisteria images using Ranger Archival Ink- Coffee onto white cardstock, and added colour to the branches and flowers using Zig Clean Color Markers and a waterbrush. I added colour to the leaves using Ranger Distress Oxide Ink andΒ  Heartfelt Creations Stack and Store Daubers. I shaped all of the flowers and leaves slightly using my shaping tool and…

What a fabulous layout designed by Tracy McLennon using those old photos that often scare us. Nobody wants to wreck these precious memories. The answer – MAKE COPIES and scrapbook them! WIN-WIN! I love all the Ranger Distress inks and sprays she allowing this photo to take center stage.Β  Tracy used a variety of Stampers Anonymous stamps including the Wendy Vecchi Off the Grid Background stamp Β AND the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Tapestry Stamp set to create layers on the background. She also used the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Crocodile Layering Stencil to create the design you see on the outside frame of the background.Β  LOVE IT! The journaling was created using stickers from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Small Talk Stickers Booklet. For even more of a vintage feel, Tracy added Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Creative Photo Corners to her heritage photo as the perfect little accent. Make copies of…

Hello crafty friends! Tracy here and today I have a pretty little layout to share and a card I also created using some leftover bits and pieces featuring Echo Park Paper Co. Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L AND the Brother ScanNCut SDX125Here are all of the details. The first step was to create my simple layered background. White cardstock 10.5×10.5, yellow cardstock 11×11 and the pink plaid is the full 12×12. I cropped the photo to 4×4 and matted it in white cardstock, and added Creative Photo Corners White. Then cut 2 patterned mats that I distressed the edges on. Adhere these layers together. Add the matted photo and a couple of strips of patterned paper to the left-hand side of the layout using the E-Z Runner Grand and Crafty Foam Tape. I then added a few cardstock sticker embellishments around the layout, including the title in the bottom right-hand corner.…

Hello crafty friends! Tracy McLennon here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Today I have such a fun little card to share featuring a cute little stamp set from Picket Fence Studios and coordinating dies. I also used some of my favourite Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L products and Ranger inks. I started by creating a simple blended background for my card using white cardstock, a Ranger blending tool & mat, and Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks. I was going for a moody sunset kind of backdrop. To add a slightly distressed border I stamped the Ranger Tim Holtz Early Espresso Distress Oxide ink onto my mat, misted it with water, and then drug the edges of the blended background through it. Let dry. This is also when I stamped the card sentiment in the bottom left-hand corner of the card using Ranger Archival ink. I stamped the super cute…

Hello scrappy friends! Tracy McLennon here, and today I have a little sparkly layout to share featuring Simple Stories Hey Crafty Girl Collection and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3LΒ  Here are all of the details. I started my creation by taking a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock and cutting it to 11.5×11.5. Next, I took my Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Home Hobby by 3L Extreme Double-Sided 1/4″Adhesive and edge by edge added a strip. Add one strip at a time, and add the coordinating Elizabeth Craft Designs Silk MiroFine Glitter one at a time. Adhere this layer to a sheet of black cardstock. I cut 2 pieces from the Hey Crafty Girl Collection by Simple Stories patterned paper that were 9×9 and adhere to the background. Add a striped strip of patterned paper that is 1.5×10.5. Mat the 4×6 photo in white cardstock and add Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Creative…

Hello scrappy friends! Tracy here, and today I have a pretty little layout to share featuring Simple Stories, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and an extra-large photo. Here are all of the details. Every once in a while I find a photo that I just love. A beautiful way to showcase photos like these is to print them as 8×12’s. An 8×12 is a full-frame image, the same size ratio as a 4×6. Printing it this size will not only fit perfectly to our 12×12 layouts, but it also won’t crop off any of your image. I used the Simple Stories Spring Farmhouse Collection including patterned paper, chipboard, stickers, and Bits & Pieces. I stuck everything down using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Crafty Foam Tape, E-Z Runner Grand, Thin 3D Foam Squares, 3D Foam Squares and Adhesive Dodz. I used any old colour of cardstock at the background, a base for…
