Christmas Ornament Themed Layout

Hello everyone – Vicki Wizniuk here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog sharing a Christmas Ornament themed layout. Do not forget to take photos of your Christmas ornaments and document them on your scrapbook layouts – something as tiny as an ornament can spark a ton of wonderful memories. I created this layout using the Silver & Gold Paper Packet from Close to My Heart! For the title on my layout, I used the I ♥ Christmas Thin Cuts dies with Gold Foil paper and Red Glitter paper.The scalloped detail beside the photos are cut from Silver Foil paper using the Scallop Border Thin Cuts die.And the ‘Tis the Season to be Jolly’ circle and the 3”x4” journaling piece is from the Silver & Gold Picture My Life Cards.I cut all of the heart shapes using the Basic Hearts Thin Cuts dies.And lastly, I added different coloured gems using…

Celebrate Fall with Vicki Wizniuk and Close to My Heart

Hello everyone! Vicki Wizniuk here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Today I am sharing a layout I created using the new Falling For You patterned papers from Close to My Heart! I also added the orange strip at the bottom of the pages from the new Cats & Bats patterned paper packet from Close to My Heart. The word FALL is from the new Block Alphabet Thin Cuts dies – I seriously love these – they make creating titles an absolute breeze. I cut the leafy branches from the Flower Market Cricut cartridge. I added shimmer to the leafy branches using a Shimmer Brush, and added some White Dots, which are adhesive backed and just add a little extra pizzaz to my layout. Basic Fundamentals from Close To My Heart

Hello everyone – Vicki Wizniuk here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Today I am sharing a layout I created using the brand new Basics Fundamentals papers from Close to My Heart! This summer I got to meet some cousins for the first time, so that was pretty awesome! I wanted to document that special moment in my life, and I created this layout to do just that. I am loving the new CTMH Heart Border Thin Cuts, which comes with two different metal die borders. I cut the hearts out from the Basic Fundamentals paper. Prickly Pear and Vicki Wizniuk

Hello everyone – Vicki Wizniuk here! Today I am sharing a few cards I created using the new Prickly Pear papers from Close to My Heart! I love the fresh and funky colour palette in this pack. For my first card, I paired the Prickly Pear papers with the Prickly Pear Cardmaking stamp set. I love that these new stamp sets have matching Thin Cuts dies, making creating even that much easier! To add colour the stamped and die-cut cactus, I used my inks and small waterbrush to simply paint the colours on. Tip: I like to use Black Memento ink to stamp the image, as it dries quickly and it doesn’t “bleed” when I use my waterbrush to add the colours. I added a few sequins from the Prickly Pear Sequins pack. I love how easily you can combine everything just by going by the name of the product…

Hello from Vicki Wizniuk! Today I am sharing a single page layout I created using the Rustic Home Fundamentals papers from Close to My Heart! I seriously am in love with how versatile these papers are. They are very masculine, but can also be used for a more feminine project. This layout features just a couple of the patterned papers from this fabulous paper packet, plus I added some embellishments from the My Boy Complements. The perfect pairing! Close to My Heart Sugar Rush – with guest blogger Vicki Wizniuk

Hello! Today I am sharing a single page layout I created using the new Sugar Rush Paper Packet from Close to My Heart! The main theme of Sugar Rush is donuts and ice cream, so it is full of super sweet patterned papers. Yummy! I added the title and embellishments to my layout using the Sugar Rush Complements, and Sugar Rush Dots. I also used a black journal pen to draw lines around the perimeter of the photo mats and on anything I wanted to have my eye drawn to on the page. Hello! Today I am sharing a mini album I created by repurposing the Happy, Happy Christmas My Crush pages from Close to My Heart! The Happy, Happy Christmas My Crush pages come in a package of 30 double-sided, loose printed pages, and 3-ring hole punched, measuring 8 3/8” x 6 7/8”. They are designed to be used in the Everyday Life albums so you can whip up a quick album, but I wanted to change it up a bit…. check out my 6”x6” mini album. I added embellishments to my mini album from the City Sidewalks Complements, and a few Clear Sparkles here and there, and added colour to some of the Clear Sparkles using green and red ShinHan Touch Twin markers. Jeepers Creepers from Close to my Heart – with guest blogger Vicki Wizniuk

Today I am sharing some items I made using the new Jeepers Creepers paper packet from Close To My Heart! I happened to have recently purchased a pencil that came in a little test tube style container from Staples, an office supply store. Part of the proceeds from these pencils go towards “Me To We” (formerly known as Free The Children), which was a program my son got involved in a couple of years ago through the middle school he was attending at the time. Anyways, back to a closer look at my little project… Cute, right? The test tube could be filled with little candies, too. And don’t you just love the little bats? I cut them out using Black Glitter Paper and the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge, both from Close To My Heart.
