Happy Tuesday everyone! I am wrapping my head around the fact that fall is upon us and summer 2015 is in the books. As always, we hit the ground running at the beginning of September with the start up of all our activities. With summer fading fast, I really enjoyed pulling out a few favourite summer memories and getting them onto scrapbook paper! I hope you enjoy them too.
The first is a layout I created using a photo from summer 2014. I love the look of uncertain amazement on my daughter’s face as she realized that the dragonfly actually came to rest on her outstretched finger! It was a perfect symbol of hope and light for her as she wrestled with feelings of unsettledness about our impending move.

My next layout uses the same Kaisercraft paper line, but features a picture taken this summer. It was one of my very favourite events from this summer as we spent most of our time working on our yard and getting our landscaping done. We escaped for a weekend and were joined by some good friends at our cabin. We took them on a tour around the area that I grew up. This photo was taken at the farm that my Gido (grandpa) homesteaded. The buildings are derelict and barely standing, but I loved the openness with which our friends took in exploring and humoring my meander down memory lane! Of course, our glorious goofy girls loved posing and their joy is infectious. I hope you enjoy this layout as well!
