Today on our blog we welcome Bev Code, a talented paper crafter who is going to share her wonderful designs that are all based on our September Sketchy Challenge.
Hi, I am Bev Code, and I am super excited to be a Guest Designer on the Canadian Scrapbooker Blog.
I was new to online scrapping since April 2009. There were so many amazing sites that were my learning curve to this amazing world of scrapbooking. I am a wife, mother and gramma that loves being retired and now have time to scrap to my heart’s content. I love scrapbooking along with fun things it entails like online friends, forums and Facebook. All these provide the knowledge and inspiration used when creating. The learning process has been interesting, and along the way I have been fortunate enough to join many design teams which feed my passion for the craft, and it allows me explore so many new and fun techniques and styles along with creating with amazing products.
To date I wouldn’t say I have a defined style. It is still developing all the time and it fluctuates with challenges, photos or paper lines. Lately, I have been experimenting with stencils and masks, using paint, gesso, modeling paste, a few of the fabulous new laser cut sentiments and accents and any new things I can find within reason.
Also I should mention that I can work with digitals and copics. I dabble in digital layouts and make sketches using my digital software. These sketches are now shared with 4 Design Teams.
Other hobbies I love are needlepoint, sewing, knitting, crochet and photography. Family and friends are the subjects of my scrapping along with nature, ancestry and vacation sites. I live in Conestogo, Ontario and spend some time in Florida where I take my scrapping with me for the extended time. You can view my work on my blog: http://beeceecreativity.blogspot.com/
I thought it would be fun to create and share with you some projects that were inspired by the September Sketchy Challenge.
Up first is a page called “Sweet” that follows the sketch as seen above. On this page I used products supplied by The Rubber Buggy Design Team.
Now using the upside down sketch, I share “The Best Day” page I created using Echo Park “We are Family Collection.”
Now turning the sketch sideways, I designed this “Merry Christmas” page using supplies provided by Paper House Productions Design Team.
And up next are two cards I made using the original layout sketch. These two I created using supplies provided by The Robin’s Nest Design Team.
This was amazing. I enjoyed creating to share with you. Can’t believe it all started with the same sketch. I sure hope I inspired you and that if you weren’t a sketch fan before that you are now.
Yours in Scrapping, Bev Code
