How you Beanβ¦ Nicole here and I am sharing my Art Journal pages in my 115 year old book!Β ACKβ¦ I know itβs old but it is so much fun.Β Not everything I get in the mail is something I would normally create with. Β That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy the challenge of making this my own style. Β It creatively opens my mind up and pushes my limits.
I picked this pretty spring paper Lawn FawnΒ Perfectly Plaid Rainbow Petite PaperΒ pack. Β I do love plaid. Β I stamped on the pattern paper and wait for it… fussy cut.
All those jelly’s stamped and yes, more fussy cutting. Β I wanted to layer and stack the jars. Β Trimming the beans so they spill the way the jars tilt.
ACK… trying the new RangerΒ Distress Oxide InkΒ by watercoloring the jelly’s. Β Love them!!! Β Time to make this easy and myΒ XyronΒ Create a StickerΒ to adhere all these jelly beans.
I know… it’s still looking cute and you’re wondering when it’s going to look like my style! Β Lets get the stacked mason jars through theΒ Creative StationΒ first.
I prepped my journal with Oxide Ink, smearing and watercoloring. Β Peel the jars back and adhere.
A little stencil splotching and vintage photo Oxide and attach the stack of jars. Β Flicky, flicky with water and BAM the Oxide turns magical.
I added some RangerΒ Distress Collage Medium Crazing to the jars and jelly’s. Β Anything I attached to the pages. Β I edge the jars and jelly’s with Β RangerΒ Distress Crayon Black SootΒ and smudge.
I die cut theΒ Hanging SignΒ and inked with Oxide. Β With some left over green plaid paper and cut “SWEET SHOP” withΒ Alphanumeric. Β These teeny letters are perfect for theΒ 3″ Disposable Sticker Maker.
OMG the wee lids are adorable! Β I added theΒ Small TalkΒ sentiments to the pages for fun… “Creativity takes Courage” and “Trust your crazy Ideas”.
There you have it. Β My new Art Journal, OK it’s a really old book that has a new life with my “Sweet Shop” pages.
I love the stacked mason jars! Β Not bad for such a cute set π
Sometimes is a good idea to move beyond your comfort zone creatively.Β It pushes your boundaries and can stretch your imagination.Β Not to mention you can use products you might not usually grab!
