Technique Tasters Web Show #96 – Distress Crayons Stencilling Technique – is probably one of my favourite videos we videoed with Christy Riopel. Ranger Distress Crayons had just entered the scrapbooking scene at the time and although I had purchased all that were available, I really had no idea how to use them. This short little video opened up a whole world of possibilities and in true Christy style – she made the technique look so very simple that even I can’t seem to screw it up!
The Project

The Supplies
Ranger Distress Crayons. You can purchase these crayons individually or in sets of 6. Today there is a total of 10 sets of 6 colours. YUMMY!

Art-C self adhesive stencils come in a large variety of sizes and shapes and sentiments. They are truly easy to use and THEY STICK! I love that – no worrying about your medium leaking under. YAHOOO!

The E-Z Runner Grand from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L stuck this entire layout together. I love the size and feel of this tape runner and as I mentioned in the video – making it super hard to lose on your scrapbooking work station. (I may be the only messy scrapbooker out there that has this problem-giggle giggle)

All the journaling and doodling on Christy’s layout was created using Sakura Pigma Drawing pens.

The Webshow
Grab a coffee and take a trip down memory lane as we remember Christy as we remember her the most – creating, teaching, laughing and inspiring.
Have a wonderful Saturday everyone! In loving memory of Christy Riopel – we continue to raise money for the Christy Riopel Art Scholarship. To date – one scholarship has been given through The Boys & Girls club of Calgary. This warms my heart knowing that Christy continues to spread gentle, caring and inspiring love through art in our world. Thank you so much to everyone who donates. We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.
