Its Karan Gerber here to host the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog and today, I am sharing a brick wall inspired layout with you.  This is my first time creating a layout on the blog, normally I do cards.  Today I wanted to share some of my mixed media tips using products from Art Anthology.   I am fortunate to be a member of their design team for this term and I wanted to share some tips with you.  I am also blending in stamps and dies along with some border dies from Heartfelt Creations. One of the things I love about the stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations is how versatile they are and you can use the flower dies on any project. On this layout I used a sheet of white cardstock, gave it a coat of gesso.  I then used a brick template from Want 2 Scrap and used texture paste…

For those of you new to our blog I would like to welcome you to our weekly feature – #RememberingChristy. One and half years ago our dear friend and work colleague, Christy Riopel passed suddenly away. Each and every saturday we celebrate Christy by sharing a project or two that Christy created. Our creative jar filled with her designs is literally endless 🙂 This week we are looking back to the Fall 2016 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. In this issue Christy put together an article featuring the VERY HOT – Chameleon Color Tone pens.  Here is a little peek at one project that we featured. Basic Coloring With Chameleon Pens 1. Hello everyone Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Today I am having some SERIOUS fun with my Tombow Dual Brush pens! While I was in Barcelona last spring we toured many of Antoni Guadi’s buildings.  I completely fell in love with Guadi’s work, especially his tiles and stain glass. They inspired many pages in my art journal and this layout. When I got home I knew I had to try a scrapbook page with the technique.  I used watercolour paper as my base, a good mixed media paper would work well too. I taped the paper to my surface with washi tape to keep any wild paint spots from migrating too far off the page. To create the tiles I drew random shapes with Tombow Dual Brush pens. My vision was to create a rainbow wave of colour. I started drawing the shapes in one corner of the…

Hello! Noreen Smith here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com, and I’m so excited to be back on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog! Today I’m sharing a heritage layout featuring some brand new Creative Memories products mixed in with a few old favorites! The beautiful new Archiver’s Collection is comprised of a Paper Pack, Laser Cut Embellishments, Laser Cut Borders, a Variety Mat Pack, a linen-like textured Album cover with a photo window and ABC/123 Stickers that look like typewriter keys! While designed as a heritage themed collection, the neutral colour palette makes it versatile enough for any theme, and works perfectly with sepia, black & white and colour photos. Like many of you, I am the keeper of all the family photos – not only for myself, my husband and kids, but also for my parents and all their family photos. I am in the early stages of curating and celebrating their memories…
