Hey! Kim here with a quick layout share using the December Sketchy Challenge as my inspiration. This is a sketch that took me awhile to warm up to. It wasn’t until I started to rotate it and look at photos that I got a feel for how it might work for me. I challenge you to work through a sketch that you don’t love, you may just be surprised with how much you like the end result! My layout uses the most basic of supplies. I almost always have Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s Super Stock somewhere on my layout! I LOVE the weight, smoothness and the beautiful, bright white of this cardstock. I used two types of Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L; White Permanent and Ultra permanent [I always find I need a stronger grip when I adhere anything to the textured side of Bazzil cardstock – used here as the…
Hi! It’s Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here with a post-Thanksgiving Layout featuring the ThankFULL Theme Pack from Creative Memories! I know I’ve said it before, but I love Theme Packs: they’ve got plenty of supplies to create a few thematic layouts, but not so many that you have leftovers like you would from a full collection. They are available for lots of different themes and occasions, and the price point can’t be beat – just $12.00 (CA) for four sheets of double sided paper, one sheet of coordinating cardstock plus sticker embellishments! ThankFULL was one of the first Theme Packs Creative Memories introduced last fall, but it’s still one of my favorites with its slightly non-traditional colour scheme, cute stickers and great cut-apart sheet! I used photos from last Thanksgiving for this pretty layout, choosing one 6” x 4” and printing two other landscape photos in 4” x 3” size. I…
Hello! It’s Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here to share some ideas, tips and tricks for using simple tools to create a fun, custom layout! We scrapbookers and papercrafters love, love, love our tools and are always excited to try out the latest and greatest, but it can be very satisfying to get back to basics and create with simple tools like stencils or templates, scissors and pens. I had lots of fun using the Apple Recipe Template, Hello, Autumn Journal Template, Micro-Tip Scissors, Navy Dual-Tip Pen, Alphabet Stamp Kit System and Celebrations Title Stamp along with the lovely Hello, Autumn Tone-on-Tone Paper Pack to create an apple-themed layout! Here’s how to make it: First, trace the outside edge of the apple on the Apple Recipe Template onto the rich Crimson Cardstock and cut it out with the Micro-Tip Scissors. Trace the leaf and stem shape onto the neutral monochromatic and green…

Summer is slowly slipping away but that doesn’t mean we can’t capture those moments and scrap them. Hello fellow creatives, Nicole here bringing you a scrappy layout! I know… not my usual gig. However, I have a new paper collection releasing with Wild Whisper called Tinbit Travels and I wanted to scrap with it. I created these mixed media pages to mimic the outdoors with colours and texture. Check out this easy layout for my Airstream, Tinbit. Tinbit Travels is about to release. For this layout I cut every sheet. Yes, that was surprisingly difficult. I printed out a 5×7 Tinbit photo and gathered some supplies to get inspired. I cut each piece of the mixed media side of the Tinbit Travels pages 1 ¾”x 11”. Because each mixed media page is designed with the textures of nature, I wanted to add all that pop of colour. You can use…
Hi there! It’s Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here today to share some ideas for back to school layouts AND some FREE cut-files with you! Sadly, summer is rapidly ending and it’s time for the kiddos to get ready to head back to school. Since Covid-19 is still a factor, school might look very different this year – some jurisdictions are opening “regular” school, some are only doing remote learning and many are offering a combination of the two. No matter what your child’s first day back looks like, be sure to document it and tell the story of this very unique year! My own boys will primarily be doing remote learning and will be heading back in early September. For these layouts, I pulled out some photos of my boys and I heading back to school from LAST September to use with the fantastic Book Smarts Theme Pack from Creative Memories.…
Hi there! It’s Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here to share a fun layout featuring the Fresh Fusion Cheerful Paper Pack and the brand new Alphabet Stamp Kit System from Creative Memories! I was so excited to hear that CM was launching the alphabet stamps as an alternative to ABC/123 Stickers! As much as I love the stickers, it never fails that I am missing a certain letter or number sticker just when I need it to complete a title! With the Alphabet Stamp Kit System, I’ll always have the letters I need…LOVE THAT! And, since I enjoy making cards as well, the letter stamps will come in so handy when I want to create the same sentiment on multiple cards! The Alphabet Stamp Kit System comes with everything you need to create titles and sentiments all packed in a cute little box. There are three sheets of stamps with upper and…
Hello! Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here today with my take on the June Sketchy Gallery sketch using two new tools from Creative Memories along with the brand new Vitamin Sea Collection. I love the tropical vibe of this collection and how it worked with my photos from a trip to Jamaica. I was excited to see that Kerry Engel’s June sketch called for four photos divided by three lines. Rotating a sketch is one of my tried and true methods of making a sketch work for me, and I thought that by rotating the sketch 90 degrees counterclockwise, I could use borders punched with Creative Memories new Seashells Border Punch and the Kissing Fish Chain Border Maker Cartridge to create the “lines” between, above and below my photos. To create the layout, I started with a base of Leaf Green Cardstock and added a layer of turquoise stylized wave patterned paper…
Hi Connie NIchol here today with a scrapbook layout featuring the new Wild Rose collection from Heartfelt Creations. This company has such beautiful products and the wild rose collection is a great addition to anyone’s craft stash. As usual, the collection includes coordinating paper, stamps, dies and dimensional shaping molds, with the wild roses coming in both small and large sizes. This makes them super versatile because you can use the single flowers as I did below, or layer many sizes together to make a flower full of dimension. Heartfelt Creations papers go so well with pictures from my childhood. This one is scanned from a 35 mm slide from 1963. I remember the scratchy couch and my favourite stuffed bunny whose name was Teddy. You can create your roses and leaves by stamping with the cling mount stamps and colouring, or I used the coordinating dies to cut them…
Hello Creative Scrapbookers! Jayme Loge here with a glimpse of what is on my scrapbook table. I am going to share a layout with you that documents these Covid times as we are experiencing it. Everything changed so quickly- life was its usual busy self and then it was pared back to just the essentials. Although there are many stresses and trials while living with this virus, there have been many gifts too. I am enjoying the calm and the refocus of what really matters to me. I spent so much time in my pre-covid life just running from task to task that I was not really present for much of it. I lived all those activities but didn’t really experience them. Now, just the simple act of getting groceries is more intent-full, fully felt and a delightful part of my week. I am loving that! I attempted to capture…
