Stampin’ Up! Daisy Delight by Cathy Caines

With so many amazing products to play with from the Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue, it was difficult to decide what stamp set I wanted to show you this month. However, after months of grey skies seeing the sun streaming through my window was the inspiration I needed. Heck, even seeing the yellow weeds (Ahem. Dandelions) growing in my front yard was a welcome sight. Of couurse, I’d much rather see daisies. Stampin’ Up! has released a daisy stamp set and co-ordinating punch. It makes it unbelievably easy to make a gorgeous flower bouquet at the tips of your fingers!I’ve created this card and favour box using my water colouring techniques of crushed curry refill ink and an aqua painter. Creative Memories “Forever Yours” collection

Hello everyone! Thanks for joining me on the Creative Scrapbooker blog today! As I was looking through the papers of Creative Memories “Forever Yours” collection; I paused at the journal card I have used on this layout, and started looking at the papers and embellishments so much differently. These papers didn’t lend themselves to only wedding pages and so began the starting point for my layout! I sorted through to get a general idea of which patterns I wanted to work with and I knew from the get go I wanted to make dimensional flowers from the embellishment pack! This collection has lots of lovely patterned paper as well as a coordinating vellum pack. Once I had my picture chosen and a basic idea of where to place things I started to play with building the flowers! I stacked, curled, bent and glued the pieces and LOVE how they turned…

June Sketchy Challenge gets splashed!

Hi everyone! Kim here with a quick layout share that was inspired by our June Sketchy Challenge, designed by Kerry Engel. I have to say, this was originally a tough sketch for me, I didn’t have a clue how I would use it until I took the perfect picture of my crazy dog Bella and then I knew my leading lines would be splashes of water! I used Simple Stories ‘Cabin Fever’ collection for all papers and embellishments with the exception of the Bazzil cardstock. I used a few different types of Tombow adhesives to adhere all elements. The awesome water splashes were designed and downloaded from Freepik Designs. I cut them using my electronic die cutting machine. Hi Friends! It’s June and that means that Stampin’ Up! has released a brand new catalogue. It’s something I look forward to every year. I love looking at the new products and admiring the ideas inside the crisp pages while enjoying a hot cup of coffee out of my favourite mug. Armed with a sharpie and a pen, I check off products that I already own and create a list of “needs”, “wants” and “maybes” inside my bullet journal. One of my “need now” items is a product bundle called Birthday Delivery which includes a stamp set and a matching die. I have been swooning over the images in this set for months. There are plenty of images on the co-ordinating paper, as well as the stamp set but today I am focusing on this little girl. Rustic Gears Layout by Tracy McLennon

I have wanted to create this layout for some time. This photo was the inspiration. The young man on the left hand side is my Dad, and is you look closely he’s holding a bunny in his ball glove. I am so glad that I waited until I had the Tim Holtz for Ranger Distress Oxide Inks to play with. Here is how I added the rust like colouring to the background and the largest rusty photo mat. I used watercolour paper and Ranger Distress Oxide Inks to create this rust like background. To do this you need a non stick craft mat. Stamp the ink directly onto the craft mat, spray with water and mix with your fingers. Then dip the paper into the ink/water mixture. Dry with a heat gun. Then do the same with the next colour of ink. Dry again with a heat gun. Do the…

Spring Window with Katelyn Grosart

Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! With the weather finally changing outside, there seems to be more inspiration from nature, I thought it would be fun to create a spring project. Using the Stand Up Window Kit, a retro bike and flowers from Southern Ridge Trading Company, a few fussy cut images from Bo Bunny’s Butterfly Kisses Collection and a variety of different mediums from Ranger Ink, I was able to create this beautiful Spring Window. Creative Memories Woodland Whimsy Fast2Fab Album

Hello, Connie Nichol here to show you one of Creative Memories predesigned albums, Woodland Whimsy Baby Boy. It is gorgeous and makes memory keeping so easy. All the design work has already been done, so basically you just add photos and journalling and embellish as desired. Here’s a two page spread I did in a matter of minutes. I’ll take you through the process so you can see how easy it is. Here’s the album cover. Isn’t it cute? The album comes with 16 pre-printed double sided pages. Here’s the one I worked with – I selected six 4×6 photos and placed them on the designated spaces. (I added one black and white photo just for fun).
