Hello everyone! LeahΒ O’Neil here with you today, continuing with my creative planning blog series where I show you the different ways I am using and decorating my Carpe Diem planners from Simple Stories! If you missed my last post about my wellness planner, you can check that out here! For this post, I am going to be showing you the planner I use for day-to-day planning and scheduling. For more about the setup of this planner, you can check out my most recent blog post with Simple Stories here. Today, I want to show you how I have decorated the front pockets of my Ivory Carpe Diem planner and how I have decorated my monthly calendar pages for May. I am using the Simple Stories Domestic Bliss and Home collections in this planner. The front pockets are set up with a mixture of die cuts, stickers, and a few cards…

Hi everyone! I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for summer to start – the school year is almost over and vacations are right around the corner! I’ve created a cute little mini-album that you can make before your vacation to take with you and use as a travel journal, or, you can make after your trip as a vacation keepsake! This little mini-album is fast and easy to make with minimal supplies and tools, and of course you can customize it to any theme by changing up the papers and embellishments. It’s also very interactive because of the tabbed insert pages, so kids will love it! And no matter if you’ve planned a local road trip or a world-wide adventure, the new Gallivant Collection from Creative Memories is the perfect collection to document your travels with! It features great colors, versatile patterns and awesome retro-style embellishments and stickers! To…

Hi crafters, Nicole here from Nicole Wright Designs and I have a fun DIY Tutorial on Journaling with your Sizzix dies.Β  Follow me through the process and try some of these fun techniques on your next project! Night Dreamer is my newest pages in my first art journal. Β I know I keep saying how much I am enjoying journaling because it’s true! It all started with my pages I gessoed black. Β At first this was a great idea, then I felt it was a bad idea… then I went with it and I was beyond happy with it. After the pages were painted all black I went back over with white gesso to create a hill effect and road Colouring with various Ranger green distress crayons for shading and lighting. Β The sky has shades of blue and violet. The cityscape is inked with Ranger Distress Oxide ink and run through myΒ Creative…

Inspired by Sketches! My life is more hectic than I can keep up with much of the time and I treasure the opportunities I get to be creative and create wonderful capsules for my family’s memories. I love sketches as a great β€˜get me started’ tool. Sometimes the result looks a lot like the sketch and sometimes not, but it really does not matter either way! Here are my takes on three Β of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s sketches. March 2017 Supplies Used: BoBunny patterned paper, Southern Ridge Trading Co chipboard, Webster’s Pages letter stickers, Apple Pie memories acrylic arrows. I would like to point out that the arrow labeled β€˜not a keeper’ is pointing to the too small fish and not my husband, as someone who saw it in person thought! April 2017Supplies Used: Simple Stories patterned paper, stickers, wood pieces. Frog’s Whiskers Ink stamps (images), Stamper’s Anonymous stamp (quote). May…

Today we want to show you a brilliant idea for party decor designed by Candace Robichaud, a talented paper crafter from Edmonton, Alberta. Β Candace transformed a miniature cereal box into a festive pinata party Β invitation with a few strips of patterned paper. How cute is this? Β You can’t wait to open it! It’s actually pretty simple to make. Β Candace bought some of those individual cold cereal boxes, then took out the cereal and replaced it with a party invitation and some treats. Β She closed the box back up, Β wrapped the box in plain white copy paper and then adhered four strips of fringed patterned paper in an overlapping pattern. Β  A bit of pom pom trim around the top serves as the final accent. You can put a of stuff into a miniature cereal box. Β Think about the possibilities!Don’t forget to decorate your invitations – Candace printed her invitations onto Bazzill…

Hello everyone – Kerry Engel here!I’ve got a soft spot for Creative Memories. I started my scrapbooking journey with them 20 years ago. I have over 25 completed CM albums. All of my layouts have a home in one of their albums. Their latest collection is a hit with my youngest daughter. . . sheΒ  loves the Β adorable big-eyed critters. Β Β When I saw the baby animals I thought they’d rock a tag. I’ve been addicted to tags this year. I find them a fun alternative to cards and great additions to my scrapbook pages. 1. Make a β€œtag” base. I made the big tags using a couple of CM punches and a sheet of stickers. To start, I cut rectangles from Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock and then used the CM 4-way Corner Punch to create funky scalloped corners and oblong hole. Give stickers dimension. I stuck some of the Woodland Whimsy…

Hi, Connie Nichol here today with a layout featuring some bright sunny colours and a couple of easy techniques featuring reinkers, gesso and cling wrap. Supplies Used: Β CTMH stamps, ink, reinkers, heart dies, cardstock and patterned paper, Ranger Industries gesso, stencil and glossy paper. I started by tinting some white gesso from Ranger with a few drops of Lemon reinker from Close to My Heart and smooshing it through a Dina Wakley large block stencil onto a piece of cardstock. Β I just wanted to take the edge off of the white, but if you wanted a more intense colour, just add more reinker to customize the gesso colour to whatever you want. Β  While that was drying, I made some marbleized looking paper by spraying some ink onto a piece of crumpled cling wrap and pressing onto a piece of glossy paper. Β I let that dry too, then cut out…

Creativity – The More You Use, The more You Have – Maya Angelou. Hello! It’s Susan from Susan K. Weckesser Inc. on the blog today and all ready to get creative with you. We finally finished moving into Cochrane, Alberta and my new studio is kinda set up. It really is beautiful and I love seeing the Rocky Mountains out my studio windows. Today I am creating a Mother’s Day card using one of my designed co-branded Unity Stamp Co. kits. I had so much fun with this card. Have you ever looked at some of your themed stamps and wished that you could use them all year round? Well, take a look at how I created this fun card using one of my favourite Christmas stamp kits that I designed. SUPPLIES An (Artful) Ornament Stamp Kit: Susan K. WeckeserInc/Unity Stamp Co. Hello everyone – Kerry Engel here with a fun card for you to colour and design at home. This card is a bit of a mash-up. I first drew out the words and cut out half the butterfly on my electronic cutting machine. You could easily just print it out on cardstock and fussy cut half the butterfly if you do not have a cutting machine. – CLICK HERE for the project.I stamped around the words with a Falling Flowers stamp from Stampin’ Up!Β I made a mask of the stamp (and words) so I could layer the flowers down the side of the card.I used aΒ Ranger Β embossing pen and traced around the main title and used clear embossing powder to create a raised border on the letters. I Β coloured in the letters, butterfly and flowers using my Chameleon pens. Shading and layering with various yellows and oranges. To finish it…
