Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! Happy Halloween! For today’s blogpost, I’m sharing with you how to create this Boo! Wall Hanging which uses the Simple Vintage October 31st Collection from Simple Stories, Dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, Ink from Ranger Ink and adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite Fall beverage and learn how to recreate my wall hanging at home. To start, you’ll need to choose two pieces of patterned paper out of the 6×8 Simple Vintage October 31st Paper Pad from Simple Stories. I used the white polka dots and the stars. Die cut a 4 ½” Stitched Indented Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the white polka dot paper. Die cut a 4” Stitched Indented Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the star paper. Distress the edges of both papers. Ink the edges of both papers using Black…

I could live in a world of Octobers! I love the temperatures, colours, pumpkins and I am all over Halloween. My son is off on his own and our house doesn’t get many kids dropping by on October 31st, but I still try to fill my cup with as much of the season as I can. We took in the Pumpkins after Dark event in Edmonton, imagine over 6000 hand carved pumpkins! It was impressive to say the least, and a fun evening to be out with my son and husband. I knew as I pulled out my phone to take pictures that I had the PERFECT, new paper collection at home to create a scrapbook page with. Such a new collection to me that it was still in a bag and not put away! For this fun layout I used the Simply Stated Design “Haunted Halloween” collection. Gorgeous papers…

Happy Hauntings! Noreen Smith here to share another Halloween layout using the new Happy Hauntings Collection from Creative Memories! I am so enjoying using this moody, more sophisticated Halloween collection that features a striking Paper Pack, coordinating Stickers and intricate Laser Cut Embellishments! Even in scrapbooking, sometimes serendipity steps in to make a perfect match: when I saw the “It’s Just a Bunch of Hocus Pocus” sticker in the Happy Hauntings Sticker pack, I knew I would use it on a layout referencing one of my favorite movies. Then when I saw Jennifer’s October Sketch, I knew it would be perfect to use, as the three 2” x 2” photos were just right to feature some little headshot photos of the three Sanderson sisters from the movie Hocus Pocus and Hocus Pocus 2! Here’s Jennifer’s October Sketch: And here is my take on the sketch using the Happy Hauntings collection! And…

Kim Gowdy was very buys this week creating spooky Halloween cards. One of her favourite things to do and you can tell! Check out this card she designed. How gorgeous! Kim designed the background using one of her gel mono prints she created using the Ranger Gel Printing Plate AND Ranger Dina Wakley Media Acrylic Paint. She stamped the Stampers Anonymous stamps on Deli Paper. Using Ranger Archival Ink. She then cut out the pumpkins and with hat and adhered them to the mono print using Ranger Dina Wakley Media Matte Gel Medium. Using Zebra Doodler’z Gel Glitter Pens she outlined all the stamped images. This made the images glitter! You can see it here. Next, for some more added fun Kim Added Tonic Studios Nuvo Glow Drops. When the lights turn off these little drops glow!  How fun is that! Finally Kim, used her Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Guillotine Cutter…

Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! For today’s blogpost, I’m sharing with you how to create this Skull Wall Hanging which uses a variety of stamps and stencils from Stampers Anonymous, Dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, a variety of products from Ranger Ink, patterned paper from Wild Whisper Designs and adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite fall beverage and learn how to recreate my wall hanging at home. To start, you’ll need to die cut a 4 1/4” Fitted Rounded Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of a piece of Distress Watercolour Cardstock from Ranger Ink.  Place the Crackle Stencil from Stampers Anonymous in the top left side of the rectangle. Using a palette knife and Distress Texture Paste – Grave from Ranger Ink, put the texture paste through the stencil. Repeat this step for the top right and bottom right corners of…

Halloween is in the AIR!!!! I have been lovin’ all the spooky creations that have been popping up all over social media! I particularly LOVED this little shaker card designed by Betty Lim-Silvernail that I found on her blog featuring all kinds of products by Stamp Anniething! Betty designed the shaker on her card using the Stamp Anniething Shaker Basics Die Set 1 and the Spider Web Shaker Die Add On. She fill her shaker with the sweetest Stamp Anniething Sprinkles – Friday Night Sprinkles and Batty for You. The Stamp Anniething paper Betty used included the Awakening Glitter Pack and the super cute Pumpkins Paper Pack. And of course, Betty used the Stamp Anniething Natalie-Lil’ Devil Stamp Set. LOVE IT! Be sure to pop on over to Stamp Anniething and check out their HUGE selection of MUST HAVE fun products!!!! Happy Thursday Friends!

Happy Fall Creative Scrapbookers! Does the change of season excite you? I LOVE it! I just wish winter didn’t follow so quickly! This time of year always gets me thinking about Halloween. I get energized from the decorations, costumes, candy and of course Halloween themed scrapbooking and cardmaking products! My card share started with pulling these Stampers Anonymous sets from my stash ~ I love the both! I pulled out all kinds or Ranger Inks and got started with my plan! I stamped my web image onto a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Superstock and embossed with Speckled Egg Embossing Glaze. This gave me a FABULOUS image to resist the Distress Oxide Inks I would be using to create my background. I added several layers of the grungy stamp to the edges with all the colours from the background and also spritzed with water. Using black Archival Ink, I stamped the…

Hey crafty friends! Tracy McLennon here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. With Halloween fast approaching I thought I would share a sweet and easy little Halloween card. I adore this collection from Creative Memories, Toil & Trouble and all of its cute patterns and coordinating embellishments. (This is one of the lines from Creative Memories that is GOING GOING GOING GONE – so order yours today if you love it as much as me) I used the patterned papers to create the asymmetrically layered background of my 6×6 card. Then I used a combination of patterned paper, cardstock and cardstock stickers to create the border of hexagons and images up to the left-hand side of the card. To create dimension I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares to pop-up some of the elements. I created a matted sentiment strip using patterned paper, stickers and border stickers. Then…
