I have been away the last few days scrapbooking and playing at my daughters grade 6 camp just outside of Elk Point. Christoph and I also attended this camp as children and could not be more thrilled that our children are able to share these memories with us! Everytime I go there my heart is flooded with fun childhood stories and feelings ๐ I LOVE IT! They stay in these fun little authentic cabins – that look exactly the same as they did 20 years ago! Canoeing is still a huge hit – and I am happy to report that tipping the canoe in your lesson is still a very high priority! Being silly, hanging out and giggling are the main reason you attend camp – that certainly hasn’t changed! Every once and awhile you have to do some actual work – but even dishes are fun at camp:) And…
Happy Fathers Day – to three amazing guys! Thank you Dad, Dan and Christoph – for putting up with us!ย I know sometimes it’s not that easy:)ย Love you all!
I stumbled on this awesome site through twitter – called Mashable! They did an article on – 17 Fresh Tools for Working with Colours. This article hightlights 17 different tools (some are FREE) that you can use on the internet for putting together colour combinations!ย I have been playing a little with this one – It’s called ColoRotate!ย Very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you love playing with different colour palettes or would like to try something outside your box but are not sure if it works…check out this article and start experimenting!
What a fantastic weekend once again of ball!ย Honestly – hot weather, great friends, barbeques, dedicated coaches and some amazing games of fastball! For me – it doesn’t get much better than that! One of Hannah’s team mates – Stephanie – celebrated her 13th birthday while we were playing ball in St. Albert.ย The traditional BUMPS were given! I wonder how many gwazillion years the bumps have been around for and who or why they were invented? Anyone know? Birthday cupcakes ROCK! I have so much respect for mom’s who bring homemade cake, cupcakes or goodies for all the kids to share.ย I know how much work is involved and timing and planning – I so appreciate it! And look at these faces – SO DO THEY! Happy Tuesday everyone!
Liam has been home sick for the last 3 days…. This has been the standard view from my desk.ย One of the best things about my job are days like this. I can be home. I can stop working for a cuddle or a story or even to watch a little of his movie. I appreciate so much the work situation that I have. Speaking of movie – Liam has watched Ninja Turtles about 50000000000000 or even more over the last three days! As I am sitting at my deskย editing articles I catch myself wondering off to Ninja land – protecting New York City from destruction, doing cool Ninja moves and eating pizza. LOL!ย – I think I would love being a turtle! Have a wonderful day everyone
What a fantastic weekend of ball in Saskatoon! The Rebels came home with a FABULOSA silver medal!ย They played just fantastic!ย Really – I could watch them play all day – everyday!ย Sports teaches children so much – but the true meaning of sports is friendship! Bringing people together with similar interests, ambition, commitment and so much more.ย Tons of giggles, encouragment, stories shared, bruises cared for, tears wiped away and hard work are the makings of friendships that are formed. And with a little bit of luck – will last a lifetime ๐
Tonight is the Relay for Life in Lloydminster – I am looking forward to spending time with my family – celebrating, remembering and fighting back!ย Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
So I just finished reading this book – it actually took me almost an entire month to finish – which is rather unusual for me. I just had a really hard time getting into it and there were soooooooooooooooooooooooooo many character developments!!!!! I stuck it out and loved the suspense and mystery but the ending……well…..I was disappointed. I thought the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo deserved a break in life.ย Just my two cents!ย (hope that isn’t a spoiler for anyone;() The next book I am going to tackle is – The Book of Negros – I will keep you all posted! Have a great evening – off I go to the ball park.
