How you Beanβ¦ Nicole here and I am sharing my Art Journal pages in my 115 year old book!Β ACKβ¦ I know itβs old but it is so much fun.Β Not everything I get in the mail is something I would normally create with. Β That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy the challenge of making this my own style. Β It creatively opens my mind up and pushes my limits. I picked this pretty spring paper Lawn FawnΒ Perfectly Plaid Rainbow Petite PaperΒ pack. Β I do love plaid. Β I stamped on the pattern paper and wait for it… fussy cut. All those jelly’s stamped and yes, more fussy cutting. Β I wanted to layer and stack the jars. Β Trimming the beans so they spill the way the jars tilt. ACK… trying the new RangerΒ Distress Oxide InkΒ by watercoloring the jelly’s. Β Love them!!! Β Time to make this easy and myΒ XyronΒ Create a StickerΒ to adhere all these jelly…
Hello from Vicki Wizniuk! Today I am sharing a single page layout I created using the Rustic Home Fundamentals papers from Close to My Heart! I seriously am in love with how versatile these papers are.Β They are very masculine, but can also be used for a more feminine project. This layout features just a couple of the patterned papers from this fabulous paper packet, plus I added some embellishments from the My Boy Complements.Β The perfect pairing!Β And the black gems are from the Black & White Dots pack. Β I kept my layout quite simple, to give you an example of how you can create quick layouts with few supplies. If you donβt have a copy of the Close To My Heart Annual Inspirations catalog or the Seasonal Expressions 1 (mini catalog), be sure to contact your local CTMH Independent Consultant.Β Or if you donβt have a Consultant and…

April Sketchy Challenge Blog Post 3-in-1 challenge. Happy April everyone! Kerry Engel here. Β I thought this month we could talk about design principles. Iβve always been a disciple of the CRAP Method of designing: Contrast, Repetition, Alignment and Proximity. These are the four principles that dictate pretty much everything I create. Hereβs how Iβve used these principles in the April sketch: Contrast is created through the placement of the photo strip on the left and the white space on the right. Repetition is expressed through the repeating of the circle motif and the rectangular shapes in the photos and journaling blocks. Alignment is achieved by keeping all the spaces between the elements a similar distance apart. Proximity is attained by keeping βlikeβ elements close and tight. The journaling is kept together (in one area) and isnβt spread all over and the photos are kept collected in one area too. This…

Hello everyone – Cathy Caines here Β I think by playing with ice cream and popsicle stamps, I can convince myself that itβs Summer outside my froze bitten window. Oh yes, the calendar tells me itβs Spring and that silly Shuebenacadie Sam groundhog supposedly saw his shadow but it couldnβt be farther from the truth on the East Coast of Canada.Β Perhaps itβs time for that guy to get some glasses. I spent a great deal of time stamping different colour combinations and putting together a number of die cuts using the Cool Treats stamp and die cuts.Β Itβs the way I roll. It wasnβt until I truly thought about my favourite ice cream that I found the perfect fit. Mint Chocolate Chip! The delicate white doilies are a perfect way to accent the card as it looks like the little wrappers that sometimes comes on the ice cream cones. While,…
