Hello Creative Scrapbookers! Have you ever had a layout appear almost by magic? It happened to me! Here’s the details: I created this layout. Supplies used- Patterned paper, glittlered chipboard; Jen Hadfield Stencil: Donna Downey Ink and Embossing Paste: Ranger Chipboard: Southern Ridge Trading Co (painted with InkaGold by Viva Decor) Acrylic Letters: Pink Paislee Stickers: 7 gypsies Acrylic Tiles: Harmonie It was full on Jayme style with lots of mess and a bit of chaos going on! I had ink and discarded paper spread all around me. I proclaimed the layout complete and set about cleaning up my mess. Kim here with my take on the February sketch. This is not my best work, but I had fun with this layout. I feel like I have been in a creative funk since January and am slowly coming off the couch back into my craft room! I am NOT a lover of winter and the darkness that comes with it! Working with a sunset picture seemed a good choice! I just let myself play and put ZERO pressure on the results. I added a thin layer of Dina Wakley Media Gesso to my CSM Superstock and then “messy” coloured my circles with Distress Crayons. Once my colour was on my page, I used a water brush to blend it and even it out. My spiral line and writing was done with a Dylusions Paint Pen – I LOVE THESE!!!!! Hi, Tracy here! Today I wanted to share a quick and easy card idea using Stampin’ Up! Stamps, Ranger Archival Ink, Chameleon Pens and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. Project Recipe: Stampin’ Up! – Falling Flowers Stamp Set- Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set (Sentiment) – Cardstock- white and black Ranger- Tim Holtz Distress Archival Ink- Soot Black – Stickles- Yellow Chameleon Pens – YO3, YG3, RD4, BG4, PR4 Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L- EZ Runner Grand, Black 3D Foam Squares I started with a piece of white cardstock that was 3.75×5. Using my Ranger Archival ink I stamped the Stampin’ Up! flowers and leaves along the top and bottom of the cardstock. This stamp set is perfect for trying Chameleon markers for the first time. The lines of the images are a little thicker, providing a little more forgiveness when colouring. Once my images were coloured I added my sentiment. I picked nice…

Hello everyone, Karen Ellis here. The Spring 2017 issue of the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine will be showcasing projects featuring different Wax Crayon Resist techniques. I completed a layout for this feature and wanted to show you how I created a crayon resist here on the blog. The first thing I did was create a flower doodle on a piece of white Super Stock (any watercolour weight paper would work) using plain ol’ wax crayons I picked up at the dollar store. Using a set of watercolours I had on hand, I washed the image with the paints and a wet water brush. You’ll see right away that the wax will resist the colour. If you’d like to see a cleaner resist, feel free to remove some of the moisture from the doodled image with a small piece of paper towel or lightly remove with a baby wipe. Once dry,…

Wouldn’t we all like one of these sitting on the table. What a pretty specimen this would make. Today I am sharing a tutorial for Sizzix using the Flower Garden and Mini Bouquet. You can get the Framelits to go with the Mini Bouquet and Flower Garden Stamps. No fussy cutting! Well I was going through my “Library” of dies looking for the Apothecary die and I found the Bell Jar w/Pedestal first…so it wins! The best part about these stamps… no cutting! Stamp and line up the Framelit. Every flower needs a butterfly and the Butterfly Duo w/Texture Fade is exceptional. The Magrnetic Platform is essential for the Framelits and Thinlits. It helps to use a little washi to hold the famelits in place so it won’t shift. Plastic packaging is perfect for the Bell Jar glass portion.
