Hey crafty friends, Tracy McLennon here and today I have a funky and fun layout to share featuring the Ranger Dylusions Flight of Fancy stamps along with my Chameleon Color Tone Pens. Here are all of the nitty-gritty details.Β First create your layered cardstock background. The kraft cardstock is 10.75×10.75 and matted in white cardstock that is 11×11. I cut 8 pieces of black burlap string and tied a knot on one side and adhered it in behind these two layers of cardstock. Then adhered it to a full sheet of black cardstock.Β Project Recipe: Ranger- Dylusions Flight of Fancy Stamps and Archival Jet Black In Chameleon Pens- BG4 Aquamarine, GR4 Evergreen, BL3 Sky Blue, YG3 Spring Meadow, BL6 Royal Blue, GR1 Green Apple Chameleon Color Tops- BL7 Indigo Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L- Creative Photo Corners Black, E-Z Runner Grand, 3D Foam Squares White Mix, Adhesive Dots-Medium, E-Z Runner Ultra Cardstock- Kraft,…
This weekend I pulled out a paper stack from Paper House Productions – Field Study – and scrapbooked a few photos from harvest 2016. I thoroughly enjoy paper stacks. They are easy to store, tons of coordinating papers and with Paper House Productions, they also include a sticker sheet that is also sealed in the binding. I love that! Here is a very simple layout that I created. A little fun element on my layout is the birch stencil in the background. I laid the stencil down and applied transparent texture paste.Β When the texture pasted dried I wasn’t happy with the slight watermark color.Β So I painted it black.Β Definitely, an easier way to get this texture is to simply add the black paint to the texture paste! Save a tedious painting step! Next time (LOL) SUPPLIES Paper House Productions Patterned Paper Paper House Productions Stickers and Washi Tape Ranger…

Hi everyone! Noreen Smith here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com to share a not-too-spooky Halloween layout along with some cut files that I created for you today! Iβm using the Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Paper Pack and Stickers from Creative Memories which feature iconic fall colors and patterns with hints of Halloween. They are perfect for photos from the Pumpkin Patch, corn maze, bobbing for apples, Jack-O-Lantern Carving, Halloween costumes and parties, and of course, all things Pumpkin Spice! You might remember that last May I designed a Sunburst cut file to share with you, and I decided to take a spooky spin on it and turn it into a spider web! The rays of the sun became the radials of the web and I added the curved spirals in between to create a web that can be cut on any electronic cutting device! And whatβs a web without a spider? Inspired by…

Each and every week, we look back in time and remember the beautiful art of our late friend and colleague Christy Riopel. Christy’s designs are timeless. So many of her creations from way back when continue to inspire us today. This week we are looking back to the Winter 2016 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. This was the last article that Christy wrote for our magazine. Christy was probably one of the most organized people I knew. She had her articles ready to go at the beginning of August and shortly after passed away. We ran her article and then decided to retire it in her honor. This Tool Junkie article was all about using Creative Memories border punches. Here is the last project that Christy designed in her beautiful creative life. It will always be a very special layout for me. Christy used the grass border punch on the…
Hello everyone – Karen Ellis here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Iβve been getting ready to attend ScrapFest / CreativFestival this weekend in Toronto with the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine and thought Iβd share a sneak peek of something that I will be doing with the event participants on the show floor – making our own washi tape with Ranger Paints and Gel Press Plates. Weβll be creating the washi tape for this layout project that Iβll be teaching in the Interactive Studio at the show.Β Itβs simple and easy to do and uses plain olβ masking tape that Iβm sure you have somewhere in your stash at home. Hereβs what weβre doing: Products Used Masking TapeΒ – placed on transparencies/non-stick surface Gel press Printing Plate – Gel Press 4β Soft Brayer – Gel Press Acrylic Paint – Ranger Ink Small Paint Brush / or blunt end for mark…
Hello there! Nathalie DeSousa with you today with a new project that celebrates Fall and it’s glorious colors.Β It is not a secret that Autumn happens to be my most favorite season. It is the cozy feeling, the clean cool air, the beautiful nature, and of course the phenomenal colors.Β So, I combine a few of my favorite Fall feels with some Vicki Boutin for American Crafts products in this new page call Autumn Fun. Fall Sunsets are some of the most beautiful, so I borrow the colors to create the background for this page.Β Β Well when we think Fall, we think leaves, so I used one of Vickiβs new stamp and die sets (Shine) to create the embossed leaves in the background, and then used her Watercolor set to recreate the sunset on the background.Β While the background dried, a few more leaves were stamped and color using the…
Each and every week, we look back in time and remember the beautiful art of our late friend and colleague Christy Riopel. Christy’s designs are timeless. So many of her creations from way back when continue to inspire us today. This week we are looking back to the Fall 2013 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. In this issue, once again in Christy’s Tool Junkie article, Christy created a number of different layouts featuring a variety of Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L products.Β More often than not, we purchase adhesives and clearly think only to use them as adhesives. Christy’s article was all about looking at your adhesives in a different light! Here is one of my favourite layouts from this feature. On this layout, Christy uses Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Dodz (glue-like dots) and turns them into a glitter banner! LOVE it! Here is the article as it appeared in the…
