Hello everyone, Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog excited to share with you a fun little technique to make your stamped images POP with little or no effort using a white opaque pigment pen by Ranger. I am going to call this technique – white pen painting. LOL!ย  I am slightly addicted. To create this layout I used a variety of Stampers Anonymous stamps, Ranger products, Glue Dots Adhesives, MultiCraft Craft Decor burlap ribbon, and wooden embellishments. I challenged myself with this layout to see how many different ways I could use stamps. To be honest I only started using stamps a few years ago when I got into mixed media. This particular group of stamps really inspires me, and they work so well with my Europe photos. When all was said and done I used my stamps in 3 different ways. I used the following…

Hi Friends and welcome to theย  ย Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog.ย It is Karan Gerber here on the blog today with a school layout featuring 49 and Market. When I was thinking about what I wanted to create for you, I thought of the days when my boys went to school. It seems like so long ago.ย  We are in the month of June and I am sure many of you will be looking for ideas for your school photos. so I have created a masculine school layout using the Mini Old School Collection from 49 and Market. To begin with, I am using a photo of my oldest son from 2013, this is his Grade 12 photo which measures 3.5 x 5, I cut 4 photo mats from other papers in this collection begins with a 3.75 x 5.75 and each photo mat was 1/4 inch larger than the last, I…

Welcome back, crafty friends! Tracy McLennon here, and today I have a pretty little Spring-inspired butterfly layout to share featuring Pink & Main, Ranger, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Kelly Creates and Chameleon Color Tone Pens. Here are all of the nitty-gritty details. Start by cutting down the Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock cardstock to 11×11. Mat your 4×6 photo in white cardstock and add Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Black Creative Photo Corners. Using a blending tool and Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks (Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick), create small blended circles diagonally across the 11×11 cardstock. Using Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink again (Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron) and the Pink & Main silhouette butterfly image stamp, stamp 3 images around where your photo will be in the middle of the layout. Using Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Sprays, splatter colour across the layout diagonally. Let dry…

Hello everyone! Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog with a super fun crossword puzzle inspired layout that I really enjoyed creating. For my daughterโ€™s birthday, we created a goofy crossword puzzle full of questions that spotlight her at 21. It was fun to listen to everyone trying to guess the answers and find my spelling mistake. (It wouldnโ€™t be a Kerry creation if it didnโ€™t have a spelling mistake.) How to Create a Crossword Puzzle Inspired Layout To build the crossword I used this free website https://www.puzzle-maker.com/CW. I transferred the crossword to a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock using a sketch pen and my Silhouette Cameo. If you donโ€™t have a cutting system you could easily print the crossword and adhere it to your layout. I used the March 2019 sketchy challenge for layout inspiration.-Be sure to join our monthly challenge. I would love to…

Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans ! Katelyn Grosart here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog.ย  Today I am sharing with you a pretty flower-themed project featuring the Botanical Garden collection by Carta Bella.ย  At the beginning of May, we went to the Tulip Festival in Abbotsford to check out all the amazing rows of different coloured and varieties of tulips.ย  So for todayโ€™s project, I created my scrapbook layout using inspiration from our May Sketch designed by Kerry Engel. With the May sketch in hand, I set off to create my layout using the Botanical Garden Collection from Carta Bella which I combined with some adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, and ink from Ranger Ink, I was able to create my pretty Beautiful Day Scrapbook Layout. Youโ€™ll want to grab a cup of your favourite Spring beverage as I share with you how I created my scrapbook layout. Out…

HI Friends and welcome to the Creative Scrapbooker Blog today featuring laser cut shapes. Its Karan Gerber here to host the blog andย  I am here to share with you a masculine layout I designed based on the newย Laser Cut Frame Setsย fromย 49 and Marketย with papers from theย Bold and Beautiful Collection. Here is a peek at what I will be creating for you today: To begin with, we will be using two sheets of the whispers paper; a set of the Laser Frame Set #3 insert whispers image here We will be using two of the above papers to create our background, one using the reverse image and the second we will be cutting a 5.25โ€ x 10.5โ€ making sure to incorporate the detailed brick in the pattern. When you cut the second sheet, ink the edges with Weathered Wood Distress ink from Ranger. Here is what the frame set looks…

Hello and happy Tuesday! It is Jayme Loge here hoping all you Creative Scrapbookers are having a lovely morning with some signs of spring. Where I live, weโ€™ve been buried under an endless โ€˜polar vortexโ€™. While it has meant a lot of time indoors for scrapbooking I am totally craving some outdoor life! It was a good opportunity to tackle some of the photographs in my โ€˜to be scrapbookedโ€™ folder. My usual process is to start with a photograph and find paper and embellishments to suit, but I had the lovely Wild Whisper Designs โ€œFarmhouseโ€ ย paper pack that was just calling. I ended up choosing two pictures of my daughter, Avery, taken about 11 years apart! And both featured the great outdoors, so I could at least revel in the memory of itโ€ฆ I first scrapbooked the more recent picture. I like to wait until the school year is over…

Soft pastels and summer vibes. Hello everyone, Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. The Creative Memoriesย Blend and Bloom collection includes patterned paper, embellishments, and stickers that can be layered to create subtle, soft,”ย summery” pages. My Kuaui photos in this layout have a soft, over exposed finish and they softly whispered โ€œBlend and Bloomโ€. I combined both the blue and green paper packages and was inspired by the February sketchy challenge. I just adore the laser cut leaves. You can use either side of the leaf-they are slightly different colors. Both colors combine perfectly and mimics the subtle shades of a summer garden. There are several different leaf shapes that look great as a single focal point or combined to create a garden or bouquet. I crunched up the bottom right corner of my paper so I could tuck in a leaf vine. Keeping items close together…
