Grow Your Own Bouquets with Art Impressions and Kerry Engel

My summer garden inspired the big floral explosion on this card. This was the first time I’ve used these watercolor stamps by Art Impressions. It was very addictive. Watching the bouquets come to life is magical. Creating depth with a mask. To create the row of stamped pots I made a mask out of the pot and used it to create depth. The first pot I stamped was the third on from the left. After I stamped the middle pot I laid down the mask on top of it and then stamped a pot to the left, overlapping the image a bit. Then I put the mask down on that second pot and stamped the far left, over lapping again. The pot on the far right was stamped last. Build a bouquet. Using the Art Impressions foliage and flower sets I created the bouquets inside my pots. Layering the branches…

Hats Off Line from Art Impressions

This new collection of stamps and coordinating dies, called the Hats Off-Line, from Art Impressions is FABULOSA! The new collection has three sets of stamps that include the coordinating dies to make cutting the bits and pieces a breeze. The names of the sets are pretty easy to remember – Miss Set, Mrs. Set, and Mr. Set! PERFECTION! How adorable are all those HATS!!!! What do you get when you mix Art Impressions Rubber Stamps with Simple Stories?!?!? A charming little card that makes you feel like spring! To create the card I cut a card front from a piece of pink striped patterned paper from the Simple Stories Bunnies & Bloom collection. I cut the same size card front from Ranger Simon Hurley Create Stark White cardstock. Using a Sizzix Framelits circle die, I cut out a circle window in the upper portion of both the card fronts – in the exact same spot. Using Glue Dots Adhesives Gluetape I adhered the two-card fronts together. This process made the pink stripe paper stronger so I could pop it up later. Next, cut out a piece of Prima Marketing white watercolor paper. Pop it into your Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Stamping Platform. Securing it into place. Stamp the Art Impressions floral stamp onto the…

Girlfriends Make the Best Accessories with Kerry Engel

Art Impressions stamps capture real life for so many women. The confident ladies strutting their stuff in the Girlfriends Make the Best Accessories stamp reminds me of me and my friends when we go for lunch. I wanted to make the ladies a bit glitzy so I used the paper piecing technique on their sunglasses and purses. A little glitter goes a long way! I also tried something different for me, I applied Ranger Tim Holtz Oxide inks onto foiled Therm O Web Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates paper. It turned out really well. The inked and foiled background looks like a Vegas night sky. Here’s how I created this look: 1. Stamp the Art Impressions Girlfriend stamp on watercolor paper and fussy-cut the ladies. 2. Succulents by Art Impressions

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with two cards featuring the Art Impressions Succulents stamps and dies set. These stamps are so pretty and succulents are so trendy right now! I stamped them with Ranger Archival Black Ink , coloured them with Chameleon pens. Next I cut them out with the coordinating dies and stuck everything together with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L adhesives. Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D foam squares are perfect for adding dimension to a row of succulents. I put a coat of Glossy Accents on a few of the flowers to add some gloss and dimension and dabbed some Stickles glitter glue on some of the foliage. Small details but it’s the little things that make cards extra special. The background patterned paper is from this wood and gingham basics paper pad from Simple Stories.
