In loving memory of Christy Riopel – here is a page from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Winter 2012 issue. Christy wrote and designed a feature article called Home for the Holidays. In this article she designed a number of home decor Christmas themed projects – including this beautiful place setting featuring Bo Bunny Her designs were classic. So clean and simple yet elegant. Christy truly had a gift for designing. Thinking of you everyday Christy All my love Creative Scrapbooker Magazine is honoured to announce that we have started an ART Scholarship in Christy’s name. Hi there, Connie Nichol here today with a Christmas layout featuring the Believe Way with Words die from Elizabeth Crafts Designs, the Merry & Bright Christmas collection from Bo Bunny and a Quietfire Design stamp with a beautiful quote. My kids are getting older, but even as gawky teenagers, they still adore Christmas and all the special traditions that come with it. Make sure that you take a few pictures to capture the memories this Christmas, even if it is not ideal. This past Christmas we were still in the middle of renovations and the flooring had all been ripped up. Plywood is not a very conducive environment for Christmas decorating but it is still a special time of year and I’m glad to have these photos to remember it by. I actually started with the December sketch from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s sketchy gallery. It’s a card sketch, but there’s no…

Who’s with me?? The warm earthy tones, that work with practically any type of photo. My layout today, focuses on one special photo. So I created a base of lots of layers of pattern and texture to showcase that special photo. Along the top border of patterned paper I added a line of coordinating decorative brads, for some additional texture. I added some simple splatters of my Clearsnap ColorBox Spritzers to the bottom left hand corner of my layered cardstock base. Do you LOVE to use ribbon on your layouts…

Hello everyone – Jayme Loge here with Tuesday with the Team! My kid is a bookworm, and when I saw Bo Bunny’s Beautiful Dreamer paper line, I knew it was meant just for her! Not only do I love the colour scheme, the book and imaginative images are wonderful. I paired the paper with Creative Scrapbooker’s October 2016 sketch: I am currently having a very serious love affair with the Ranger Dylusions paints and so decided to use them to create the background shapes on my layout. I laid down my stencil and applied the paint with a paper towel, ‘ishing’ the circle shape. I used three colors that coordinated with the paper. I added a little of the green around the edges of the paper and lightly smooshed throughout the background for just a bit more texture. Once the paint was dry, I built my layout on top. One…
Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a layout featuring Bo Bunny, Elizabeth Craft Designs Way with Words dies and a Quietfire Design stamp. This layout was inspired by the September sketch in the Creative Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge. It turned out looking nothing like the sketch, but hey. That’s the creative process. A sketch is a good place to start! Here’s the September sketch designed by Kelly Klapstein. Be sure to go check out the new Sketchy Gallery and upload your interpretation of this sketch. I love to see how everyone else’s projects turn out. The photos in this layout are of my friend Sue and her beautiful daughter Caitlin from 11 years ago. We used to take our children on all sorts of little adventures, and although the kids don’t remember any of them now, not a single one, the stamped quote is totally true. All the things we…
Hello again! It’s Kim here with my take on the February Sketch designed by Kelly Klapstein. I was inspired to rotate the sketch as shown and from there just started to play until I felt I was done! I love how it turned out, though my husband doesn’t see any similarity to the sketch…LOL! The papers and embellishments are from Bo Bunny’s Believe collection. I was hesitant at first to get this collection of papers, as I wasn’t sure if the theme would work for my style of scrapbooking. Once I opened up the papers, stickers and die cuts I was pleased to find LOTS that I was comfortable working with…I love the colours and whimsy so much. The products that don’t “work” for me will easily be altered and adapted for my needs. So many inspirational sayings and thoughts, I can’t wait to play with this paper collection again. I…
Hello everyone, it’s Kim Gowdy here today! This is kind of a “sequel” to my last post where I coloured on Core’dinations Glitter Cardstock. This time I want to share a similar idea but with a REALLY cool new product…Core’dinations Glitter Prints. This card was made by downloading a colouring design from the Chameleon Pens website. You have to sign up for their newsletter to access the downloads…it so worth it because you get lots of tutorials and eye candy! It was printed on the Glitter Prints and coloured using my Chameleon Pens. Though hard to see in this image…it shimmers and shines! The paper played beautifully with my inkjet printer and dried super fast! So…you saw a simple image printed beautifully, that alone is exciting but check out this layout I created. All the pictures were printed out on the Glitter Prints paper as well! So FUN! I was…
