Creating Watercolour Effects with Spectrum Aqua markers distributing by Canuck Crafts by Christy Riopel I love this quick layout that I put together. I used Spectrum Aqua Markers and Watercolour Cardstock, Clearsnap SurfaceZ Ink, Magenta stamps and Stencils. Using the MagentaΒ stencil draw lines inside the openings of the stencil. Spray with water and lift off the stencil. This works so well because the Spectrum Aquas are a waterbased marker. I also used the markers on the edges of my photo matte I added these beautiful Magenta flower stamps using a permanent ink like Clearsnap SurfaceZ ink so that I can spray water over the top after I have coloured them in. Itβs amazing how a little water can turn these markers into works of art. Have a wonderful Tuesday!
Hi everybody, Connie Nichol here! Today I was as a guest designer on the Quietfire Design blog. Β I have used and loved Quietfire Design stamps before, but this was the first chance I got to play with their digital design files and the new metal dies designed by Quietfire Designs and manufactured by Elizabeth Craft Designs. Β They are just gorgeous. There are quite a few digital cutting files available at Quietfire DesignsΒ and they are easily downloaded and used by any electronic cutting machine that can accept svg files. Here is one of the three thank you cards I made with a cutting file and the Sizzix Eclips2 electronic die cutting machine – click HERE to Β head over to the QuietfireΒ DesignΒ blogΒ to see my other cards and learn a little about how I made them. Β I love the way they all turned out – quick and easy just using specialty…

Happy Tuesday everyone! I am wrapping my head around the fact that fall is upon us and summer 2015 is in the books. As always, we hit the ground running at the beginning of September with the start up of all our activities. With summer fading fast, I really enjoyed pulling out a few favourite summer memories and getting them onto scrapbook paper! I hope you enjoy them too. The first is a layout I created using a photo from summer 2014. I love the look of uncertain amazement on my daughterβs face as she realized that the dragonfly actually came to rest on her outstretched finger! It was a perfect symbol of hope and light for her as she wrestled with feelings of unsettledness about our impending move. Supplies Used: Patterned Paper, stickers: Kaisercraft; Punches: Creative Memories, Stampinβ Up!; Letters: American Crafts; Die Cuts: Heidi Swapp; Acrylic Shape: Harmonie…
