Hello, Connie Nichol here with a Halloween project featuring the Happy Haunting Collection from Simple Stories and twoΒ stamp sets from Quietfire Design. Β My oldest son went through the ‘ghoul’ phase when he was 9 and 10 – he wanted only to be a scary masked ghoul with a weapon. Β The scarier looking the weapon, the better. Β Sigh. Gone were the cute animal or super hero costumes. Here’s the Simple Stories mini-kit I used: This is such a great kit! Β Six sheetsΒ of double sided patterned paper and a 6×12 sheet of cardstock stickers is the perfect size to create a handful of Halloween layouts and cards without being overwhelmed. Here’s the Quietfire Design stamp sets I used – there are 9 stamps in the Crows set and even more in the Halloween Wicked collection! Β It’s nice to have so many stamps to choose from – big and little, crows facing right…

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with two simple shimmery cards featuring Always and Forever, two of the new dies released by Elizabeth Craft Designs and designed by Suzanne Cannon of Quietfire Design. Β You can use them separately as I did here, put them together with an ampersand or add hearts from the Calligraphic Elements 2 dies. Β These would be great for wedding or anniversary cards. These were very simple to make but I love the way they turned out. Β I started by dabbing Izink pigment ink (manufactured by Aladine and distributed through Clearsnap) through an Elizabeth Craft Designs stencil to make the ‘patterned’ paper. Β You could use any ink but I love the shimmer and the gorgeous colour of the Izink ink. Β Β Β Then, I dry embossed Shimmer Sheetz with a Close to My Heart embossing folder to give the sheetz some pattern and texture. Β The CTMH embossing…
