Another Halloween season has come and gone. Today, as we sneak into our kids candy stash – camera in hands –  we slowly make our way through all the hundreds of photos we took over the last few days! With Twizzlers on my lips, I accept this challenge! Giggle giggle! Tracy McLennon has created a clean and classic layout to inspire you this Halloween scrappy season!  Chameleon Color Tone pens make it so easy to add a little doodle and color to your Halloween projects! Chameleon Products Tracy created the stunning doodle border strip on the above layout by simply using a Chameleon Detail pen. She then colored the doodles in using her Chameleon Color Tone pens. Now I know Tracy calls this doodling…. but if you are like me … I call it a work of art! Sure wish I could doodle like that. Chameleon Blog Tracy’s layout was…

Hello everyone – Kelly Klapstein here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Fall is the time of year when I like to change up the home decor and add some new hand lettering projects to celebrate the season. I have been inspired by our resident colouring artist Betty Hung, who illustrates and colours like no one I have ever seen! So I decided to design a hand lettered Autumn-themed piece and use my Chameleon Pens products to colour it. I have used the Chameleon Color Tone pens before, but I haven’t used their Color Tones pencils…and this rainbow of pencils are just gorgeous in the box. There are 25 double-ended pencils, which adds up to 50 colours! For every hand lettered project, my first step is to sketch a design roughly with pencil. I have an 8 x 10″ frame for this piece, so I knew the measurements of the…

There is a NEW way to color blend in town!!!!  Chameleon pens just took shading and coloring to a WHOLE NEW level with their Chameleon Color Tops.  THESE ARE SO COOL!!!! Easy to use and ADDICTIVE! What the Chameleon Website Has To Say About Color Tops A NEW Way To Color Blend: Chameleon Color Tops are a new edition to the Chameleon Pens award winning patented system. The new Color Tops let users easily create smooth, seamless color-to-color blends. Traditional methods of blending colors with marker pens require multiple pen colors and a lot of skill, and can be quite time-consuming and laborious. With Chameleon’s new system, the process is quick and easy. Anybody can do it because the pen literally does the blending for you! How It Works: Simply pop a Chameleon Color Top on top of a Chameleon Pen. Rather than blending two colors on the page, blend colors…

Hello everyone Kerry Engel here today on the blog having fun with the Canada 150 logo. Did you know that the super cute Canada 150 logo is available for you to download? There are so many imaginative ways for us to use it. A quick search on Pinterest revealed that quilters have taken up the challenge but I haven’t seen many paper crafters doing anything imaginative with this inspirational design. (Except of course, Tracy’s McLennon’s coloring page that’s available free on our website!) – CLICK HERE to get Tracy’s colouring page. The logo was created by Arian, Cuvin from Toronto, Ontario. According to the website “The logo is composed of a series of diamonds, or “celebratory gems”, arranged in the shape of the iconic maple leaf. The four diamonds at the base represent the four original provinces that formed Confederation in 1867: Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Additional…

Hello everyone – Tracy McLennon here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog sharing this beautiful butterfly card I designed using some of my favourite products from Stampin’ Up!, Ranger, Chameleon Color Tone pens and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I used watercolour paper and Tim Holtz for Ranger Distress Oxide Inks to create this rust like background. To do this you need a non stick craft mat. Stamp the ink directly onto the craft mat, spray with water and mix with your fingers. Then dip the paper into the ink/water mixture. Dry with a heat gun. Then do the same with the next colour of ink. Dry again with a heat gun. Do the same with the third colour of ink. You can continue this process until you get the coverage you desire.I stamped this beautiful Stampin’ Up! butterfly image on white cardstock using Early Espresso Stampin’ Up! dye ink.…

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a layout I created from the BoBunny collection called Petal Lane.  The colours are mostly soft pinks and yellows with some striking black and the patterns dominated by flowers and bicycles.  It’s gorgeous!  Although it’s a feminine colour palette, it works for a lot of other photos too.  Here, I used it for my son’s kindergarten class picture. Here’s an image of the Petal Lane Collection pack. I was inspired by some small hearts on one of the sheets of patterned paper to add some more hearts with the BoBunny Lots of Love stickable stencil and some BoBunny glitter paste.  These stencils are fabulous to use because they don’t move around while you are applying paste.  Unfortunately, I didn’t have any yellow glitter paste in my stash, but I used the colour called ‘Sugar’, which is basically clear.  After it dried, I coloured it with…

Hello everyone – Kerry Engel here with a fun card for you to colour and design at home. This card is a bit of a mash-up. I first drew out the words and cut out half the butterfly on my electronic cutting machine. You could easily just print it out on cardstock and fussy cut half the butterfly if you do not have a cutting machine. – CLICK HERE for the project.I stamped around the words with a Falling Flowers stamp from Stampin’ Up! I made a mask of the stamp (and words) so I could layer the flowers down the side of the card.I used a Ranger  embossing pen and traced around the main title and used clear embossing powder to create a raised border on the letters. I  coloured in the letters, butterfly and flowers using my Chameleon pens. Shading and layering with various yellows and oranges. To finish it…
