Today on our blog, we welcome colouring artist Betty Hung who is sharing her thoughts on Chameleon Pens. I received a set of 22 Chameleon pens, plusΒ a box of 16 Chameleon Color Cards last week, and I am off this week. Lucky me! What better way to spend your vacation days than trying out new coloring products? After playing withΒ them for two days, I have to say I am in love with these Chameleon pens. Simply put, Chameleon pens are alcohol markers. They are designed so that youΒ canΒ achieve multiple tonesΒ from light to dark using one pen. These are alcohol based, so I wouldn’tΒ use them on my coloring books unless they are single-sided. It soaked through 70 lb card stock paper that I used to print my coloring cards, so make sure you put extra protection underneath to protect your desk while coloring. Each penΒ has 3 parts: a brush nib, a…

Kim here today to share my take on the March Sketchy Challenge. This fun sketch was designed by the talented Kerry Engel; who shared several takes of this sketch in our Sketchy Gallery. I choose to work with this sketch while on retreat a few weeks back. I am not a productive scrapbooker at retreats because I socialize and enjoy the company around me, I find it hard to create with so much going on but wouldn’t miss them for the world…retreats are just plain good for the soul! I used paper and die-cuts from Kaisercraft’s β€œMe Collection”. It was the perfect retreat paper…I grabbed 3 Chameleons pens and randomly coloured some of the doodles on the page…all while keeping up with the stories going on around me! I grabbed my Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L tape runner to put everything in place! My title is made from older Tim Holtz…

Hello everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here today sharing a cute “Good Luck” card with you. I designed this card using only a few supplies: Chameleon Pens, Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock, Tombow Adhesive, Westcott Trimmer, and a pencil. You might know that I’m slightly obsessed with brush lettering and calligraphy, so I wanted to show you a way you can ‘fake’ out lettering in an easy way. Start by writing a word with a pencil. Then add a second line to the downstrokes of the letters. When you finish sketching the rest of the card, you trace over it with a permanent pen.Β Β I love the black detail pen that comes in with the Chameleon Pen set.Β  It has 2 nibs of different sizes on either end. I used the larger .6mm nib for my card. For the lettering, you can either fill in the strokes with the black pen or leave…

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a layout featuring ‘Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! This paper is a free item in the Sale-A-Bration campaign that ends March 31, 2017, so hurry if you want some!!! Β If you’re not familiar with Sale-A-Bration, you get free items from a special catalogue with every $60 you spend ($50 for my American friends), so it’s a great time of year to stock up on Stampin’ Up! Β products. The pack of free paper comes with 12 sheets, 3 each of 4 designs that you can colour with whatever you want! Β Pencil crayons, markers, watercolours….. colour a little, or colour a lot! I decided to colour my paper with ChameleonΒ pens. Β These are SO cool. Β They are alcohol ink markers that allow you to create a variety of shades from just one pen. Β So all the shades of pink and green that you…

Hi, Tracy here! Today I wanted to share a quick and easy card idea using Stampin’ Up! Stamps, Ranger Archival Ink, Chameleon Pens and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. Project Recipe: Stampin’ Up! – Falling Flowers Stamp Set- Β Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set (Sentiment) – Cardstock- white and black Ranger- Tim Holtz Distress Archival Ink- Soot Black – Stickles- Yellow Chameleon Pens – YO3, YG3, RD4, BG4, PR4 Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L- EZ Runner Grand, Black 3D Foam Squares I started with a piece of white cardstock that was 3.75×5. Using my Ranger Archival ink I stamped the Stampin’ Up! flowers and leaves along the top and bottom of the cardstock. This stamp set is perfect for trying Chameleon markers for the first time. The lines of the images are a little thicker, providing a little more forgiveness when colouring. Once my images were coloured I added my sentiment. I picked nice…

The Chameleon Pens booth is like stepping into a world of magic because of the colourful demos with pens that have wonderful blending possibilities. There was a buzz of excitement becauseΒ Chameleon Pens launched two new productsΒ at the show: Color Tops and Coloring Pencils. There is a Kickstarter campaign that you can join if you want to support this innovative product, and just head over to the Chameleon Pens website to learn more. The cool thing about Color Tops is you can now seamlessly blend COLOR TO COLOR! Just pop any Color Top onto your original Chameleon pen, the nibs touch and you quickly and easily have a two-toned blended colouring effect. The second new launch is the coloring pencils, perfect timing for the huge rise in adult coloring and coloring books. In fact, Chameleon pens now has colouring books as well, along with coloring cards too. These innovative pencils are…

Hi, Connie Nichol here today with a bright and cheerful scrapbook page featuring Close to my Heart products. My kids and I travelled to Germany last summer with friends and had the best time. Β  And took a lot of pictures. Β Ha! Β You’ll be seeing a of them as I slowly get them scrapbooked. This layout started with the Happy thin cuts die from CTMH. I coloured the die cut with Chameleon alcohol ink markers and then added three coats of Ranger clear embossing powder to make the words glossy and dimensional. Β You can see how to do this step by step in the Creative Scrapbooker Technique Taster’s Web Show #105 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NnLYeAYb6A&t=6s It’s easy to do and looks very cool. I used patterned paper from the Close To My Heart Adventure Fundamentals line – so bright and colourful – and coordinating die cuts from the Good Life Fundamentals packet. Β Β …
