We made it 10 years. Not an easy feat. I felt strongly to make sure I included this in my albums despite not having done very much to celebrate. In fact, when we did our family photograph I wanted to make sure we had a photo of just us. Lately I am really enjoying the oversized photos. Mmm! Have a wonderful day! Hi there! I’m Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com and I’m happy to share a travel-themed layout with you today. Even though things may slowly be starting to open and move towards “getting back to normal” where you live, most of us will still not be able to travel too far from home in the near future. Thankfully we can document and relive our past travel adventures using Creative Memories products that feature three distinct travel themes – Planes, Automobiles and Trains. I enjoyed using the Planes Paper Pack, Stickers and Laser Cut Embellishment Accents to create a quick layout about a bucket-list trip I made last fall to teach at a National Creative Memories Scrapbook Conference in Sydney, Australia! The Paper Pack is fantastic because one side of each paper features an overall geometric pattern in rich blues, browns, grays and greens (which are great for punching shapes or matting photos) while…
Hi everyone! Jill Broadbent with Close To My Heart, here. I am so excited for the opportunity to pop in today and share with you how to put beautiful scrapbook pages and cards together in a snap using the Cut Above® kits that are available through our Craft with Heart™ program. The excuse that I hear most often from people for not scrapbooking is that they simply don’t have the time to do it. Cut Above® layout kits are the response to that genuine concern. Each kit comes with all of the pieces you need to complete two coordinating two-page 12″ x 12″ scrapbook layouts, including pre-printed base pages, pre-cut paper pieces and die-cuts, complementing stickers, and simple assembly instructions. Essentially, all of the cutting has been taken out of the scrapbooking equation, saving you tons of time and allowing you to jump right into the artistic and creative side…
Hey there! It’s Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here with some ideas for using not-so-standard sized papers to create standard 12” x 12” layouts. Creative Memories has an incredible line of products known as The Happy Album – a petite album that can be used as a journal, a planner or anything in between. New Happy Album Kits by Creative Memories are released each month and include various papers, embellishments, and instructions to create super cute spreads on the 6.75” x 10” Happy Album pages. They are so much fun! But sometimes I love the contents of the kits so much that I want to use them on my regular 12” x 12” scrapbook pages too. So, I’ve come up with two standard double-page spreads that make the most of the papers and stickers in the latest Happy Album Kit – #19 – leaving no paper scraps left behind! Since there are…
Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! I’m back on the blog today to share with you a fun Disney themed scrapbook layout. Spring Break has just finished here in parts of BC and with Spring Break, that usually means there is at least someone going on a trip to Disneyland, which has inspired me to scrapbook some of the photos from my own Disneyland trip back in August of 2010. The jumping off point for my project was the Say Cheese 4 collection from Simple Stories which I combined with some adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, and ink from Ranger Ink, I was able to create this fun Believe Double Page Scrapbook Layout. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage as I share with you how I created my scrapbook layout. When creating my layout, I love to mix the different patterned papers together out of the 6×8…
Hi everyone! Noreen Smith here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com with a double page sketch for you! I had so much fun with this sketch that I couldn’t just make one layout based on it…I had to make three! And I was happy to use three of the newest new paper collections from Creative Memories – Oh, Canada!, Star-Spangled and Brave – to do so. All three of these fantastic paper packs are perfect to use during the summer months to celebrate upcoming patriotic holidays, summer picnics and BBQs, camping and outdoor adventures, and heroes of every kind!I love creating simple and versatile layouts that I call “1-2-3 layouts” because they use just one piece of double-sided patterned paper, two pieces of cardstock or album pages for the base and are made with just three cuts. Here’s the sketch:And here’s the cutting guide:It’s sooo easy and quick– cut your double sided 12” x…
Each and every week, we look back in time and remember the beautiful art of our late friend and colleague Christy Riopel. Christy’s designs are timeless. So many of her creations from way back when continue to inspire us today. Here is a double page layout that Christy designed in the Fall of 2015. This layout was created for a blog challenge Christy was participating in. This layout makes me – Happy/Sad. So very, very happy that she loved working with Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. So very, very happy that she created a layout expressing how she felt about her job with us. So very, very happy for this fabulous memory. And with this beautiful memory – a tear finds it way down my cheek. Forever missing you Christy. Have a wonderful Saturday everyone. In loving memory of Christy Riopel – we continue to raise money for the Christy Riopel Art…
Hello! Noreen Smith here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com, and I’m so excited to be back on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog! Today I’m sharing a heritage layout featuring some brand new Creative Memories products mixed in with a few old favorites! The beautiful new Archiver’s Collection is comprised of a Paper Pack, Laser Cut Embellishments, Laser Cut Borders, a Variety Mat Pack, a linen-like textured Album cover with a photo window and ABC/123 Stickers that look like typewriter keys! While designed as a heritage themed collection, the neutral colour palette makes it versatile enough for any theme, and works perfectly with sepia, black & white and colour photos. Like many of you, I am the keeper of all the family photos – not only for myself, my husband and kids, but also for my parents and all their family photos. I am in the early stages of curating and celebrating their memories…
Hello! Noreen Smith here, and I’m very happy to be on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog today to share some Christmas projects using Creative Memories’ Sugarplum Collection! This sweet collection features a Paper Pack, Stickers, Embellishments, coordinating Vellum Papers, a foiled Album cover and Fast2Fab Pre-printed Album pages! The designs are inspired by holiday candy, décor and classic Christmas icons, as well as whimsical, playful patterns that also make it perfect for birthdays, Winter, babies and more. Some might comment that at first glance the collection doesn’t seem too Christmas-y as it features a lot of pastels. But of you remember that colors like pink and mint green are just tinted versions of the more traditional Christmas colors of red and green, you’ll realize that they really are quite versatile! Since there were some cute candy and gingerbread house icons in the sticker pack, I used the collection to document our…
Hello everyone! Vicki Wizniuk here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Today I am sharing a layout I created using the new Falling For You patterned papers from Close to My Heart! I also added the orange strip at the bottom of the pages from the new Cats & Bats patterned paper packet from Close to My Heart. The word FALL is from the new Block Alphabet Thin Cuts dies – I seriously love these – they make creating titles an absolute breeze. I cut the leafy branches from the Flower Market Cricut cartridge. I added shimmer to the leafy branches using a Shimmer Brush, and added some White Dots, which are adhesive backed and just add a little extra pizzaz to my layout. I stamped the date in black ink using the Jennifer’s Hand alphabet stamp set. So many awesome details on this layout. If you don’t have a copy of…
