When it comes to Halloween, I am more into the ‘cute’ spooky projects than the scary ones. Let’s just say I have an overactive imagination and avoid anything gory! For this Halloween “Boo” card, I’ve included a template for you to trace and draw a bat along with practicing hand lettering. – CLICK HERE – to download your copy. Hello everyone! Kerry Engel here today on the Creative ScrapbookerMagazine blog playing with a FABULOUS new product by Therm O Web Deco Foil – Flock Transfer Sheets. I have fallen in love! Velvet, suede-like surfaces are now so easy to create using Therm O Web Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets; it’s easy and mess-free. There are 8 different colors of flocking to choose from. Flocking adds a whole new dimension and character to your paper crafting projects. It adds texture and texture therapy is why I scrapbook. You can cut the Flock Transfer Sheets into shapes or you can transfer the flocking to cardstock using Transfer Gel. I applied a layer of Transfer Gel through a Clearsnap ColorBox Art Screen – this one is called ‘jumbled’. It will take an hour or so to dry. Welcome back, crafty friends! Tracy McLennon here, and today I have a pretty little Spring-inspired butterfly layout to share featuring Pink & Main, Ranger, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Kelly Creates and Chameleon Color Tone Pens. Here are all of the nitty-gritty details. Start by cutting down the Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock cardstock to 11×11. Mat your 4×6 photo in white cardstock and add Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Black Creative Photo Corners. Using a blending tool and Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks (Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick), create small blended circles diagonally across the 11×11 cardstock. Using Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink again (Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron) and the Pink & Main silhouette butterfly image stamp, stamp 3 images around where your photo will be in the middle of the layout. Using Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Sprays, splatter colour across the layout diagonally. Let dry…

April Sketchy Challenge ~ “Talk Foodie To ME”

Hello again Creative Scrapbookers! It’s Kim here, I’ve been working on another Sketchy Challenge this weekend and can’t wait to share with you. I was inspired by Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s April sketch. I stayed pretty true to the sketch, however I opted not to use circles as the design shape. Sometimes the pictures dictate how I move forward with a layout, sometimes the papers I want to use. I knew before sitting down to play with this sketch, I wanted to play with Wild Whispers “Talk Foodie To Me” collection. The colours of the collection and the whimsy of the products simply make me smile! The patterned paper I used feels grounded with the straight lines of the photos. I am in love with all the fun embellishments in this collection, check them out on my layout! I used way more embellishments than I usually might, but they all played so…

I have a fun little Friend Card to share that I created using a fun new stamp set from Art Impressions. Here are all of the details. Project Recipe Art Impressions- Texting BFF’s Stamp Set Kelly Creates- Black Ink and Acrylic Blocks Ranger- Distress Oxide Ink (Spun Sugar, Peacock Feathers) Ranger – Stickles- Diamond Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L- Crafty Foam Tape White, E-Z Runner® Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser Chameleon Coloured Pencils White Cardstock First I stamped my images onto white cardstock using Black Kelly Creates Ink and Acrylic Blocks. Then using Chameleon Coloured Pencils, I added colour to my stamped images. These pencils are so very easy to shade and mix. I cut down the cardstock to my card front size.
