One of my FAVOURITE features out of the TONS of features the Brother ScanNCut offers their users, is the obvious one – Scanning and Cutting! This is a GAME CHANGER! Good bye fussy cutting, hello even borders of the size you choose! LA LA LA LOVE IT! Β Kerry used her Brother ScanNCut toΒ  cutΒ  out an element from a piece of Simple Stories patterned paper. It took minutes and the results are pure perfection. My summer garden inspired the big floral explosion on this card. This was the first time I’ve used these watercolor stamps by Art Impressions. It was very addictive. Watching the bouquets come to life is magical.Β  Creating depth with a mask. To create the row of stamped pots I made a mask out of the pot and used it to create depth. The first pot I stamped was the third on from the left. After I stamped the middle pot I laid down the mask on top of it and then stamped a pot to the left, overlapping the image a bit. Then I put the mask down on that second pot and stamped the far left, over lapping again.Β  The pot on the far right was stamped last. Build a bouquet. Using the Art Impressions foliage and flower sets I created the bouquets inside my pots. Layering the branches…

Hello everyone – Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. The Kraft Slimline Toner Card Fronts from Therm O Web are the perfect substrate for some good old grunge. The kraft paper withstands embossing, folding, and inking like a champ. The Therm O Web Deco Foil Transfer Sheets in Opal is mysteriously different depending on how it was used.Β  On the black toner front, it is moody but when used with the Therm O Web iCraft Deco Foil Transfer Gel Blanco, it looks like pearls. Layers of collaging help to create the perfect mixed media card. Here are the steps to create this gorgeous card! FOIL AND EMBOSS The top layer of this card was made by adding Therm O Web Deco Foil Transfer Sheets in Opal to a Slimline Foil Toner Card Front and then running the card through an embossing folder. I used the Bouquet…

I have been using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Planner Essential system for over a year now. I have a mix of Planner Essential Dies and Art Journal Dies, they give me endless options. Once I get started creating I find it hard to go to bed, they really push me to think creatively and their dies allow me to use up supplies in really unique ways. For this two-page spread, I used the Celebrate Autumn Collection from Echo Park Paper Co. It’s an older collection with a fabulous colour scheme. I can’t resist teal and yellow.Β  One of the fun items in the Echo Park Paper Co. collections is the Journaling Cards. These cards transition easily into actual pockets and tags with Elizabeth Craft Designs dies. For this spread, I used the journaling cards in two ways. Most obviously, I used an Elizabeth Craft Designs Planner Essentials die to cut…

YES – you read that correctly. Β Kerry Engel has taken a sheet of patterned paper and turned it into a stencil! See that fuzzy pink flocking in the background of Kerry’s card?Β  She created that look using a piece of patterned paper, that she turned into a stencil and then added flocking using her homemade stencil. WOWZERS! Kerry used her Brother ScanNCut to scan the patterned paper and then to cut it out on a transparency to create a stencil. This technique opens up THOUSANDS of crafting possibilities! At least! LOL! Okay, maybe they are not HOT! But this layout designed by Kerry Engel certainly is! Do you see that clock on her layout – it is from Southern Ridge Trading Company. Kerry used the Simple Stories Vintage Great Escape collection to put this layout together. She fussy cut all those butterflies out from the patterned paper! WOWZERS! Kerry then glued everything together using Glue Dots Adhesives. This layout has me feeling like it is Tea Latte time!!!! πŸ™‚ Kerry’s layout was published in the Winter issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Inside this issue, there is an entire section dedicated to CLOCKS!!!!Β  CLICK HERE to get your copy today! Happy Friday everyone!

I love these mixed media cards Kerry Engel has designed. Kerry used an SVG file of Frida and added it to her Brother ScanNCut.The Brother ScanNCut then drew the image right on the mixed media background that Kerry designed. The results are stunning. I am sooooo in the mood for a cocktail somewhere by the sea! LOLOLOL!Β  So that isn’t going to happen anytime soon. Kerry Engel’s layout is the next best thing! Bright colours, yummy food, and one of my all-time favourite Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz stamp sets. If you don’t have the Cocktails Blueprint stamp set – you need to get it.Β  Kerry also used a Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Layering Stencil to create the design in the background. It makes the layout look like it’s sparkling! LOVE IT! Off I go to dream of a drink by the sea! Giggle Giggle! Have a wonderful week everyone!

This holiday season GNOMES were HOT!!!!! You could find them everywhere!!! We fell in love with these gorgeous Nordic Gnome stamps by Impression Obsession. How adorable!
