Art Impressions stamps capture real life for so many women. The confident ladies strutting their stuff in the Girlfriends Make the Best Accessories stamp reminds me of me and my friends when we go for lunch. I wanted to make the ladies a bit glitzy so I used the paper piecing technique on their sunglasses and purses. A little glitter goes a long way! I also tried something different for me, I applied Ranger Tim Holtz Oxide inks onto foiled Therm O Web Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates paper. It turned out really well. The inked and foiled background looks like a Vegas night sky. Here’s how I created this look: 1. Stamp the Art Impressions Girlfriend stamp on watercolor paper and fussy-cut the ladies. 2. Stamp the Ranger Oxide Inks on a non-porous surface and add water, using a paintbrush paint your stamped image 3. Stamp the image a second…
Hello everyone Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog playing with Heartfelt Creations. I love growing Calla Lilies and every year I have several blooming in my yard so of course I was instantly drawn to this Heartfelt Creations collection. Once I start making flowers I end up making a bouquet’s worth. They are addictive and so rewarding. The Heartfelt Creations, Calla Lily collection is made up of papers, stamps and dies that coordinate for easy, beautiful floral creativity. I did a little research on the colors of Calla lilies – to help me with my card making. According to the Proflowers website: White symbolizes purity and innocence. Yellow symbolizes gratitude. Pink symbolizes appreciation and romance. Purple symbolizes royalty and admiration. Black symbolizes elegance and mystery. Red symbolizes beauty and courage. ….Good info to know when you’re making cards! Here’s how I created my flowers: Using the…

I have made 2020 the year that I take the planner plunge. I have two planners going at the moment; one for every day and a Vacation scrapbook-planner for an upcoming trip. For my vacation planner, I’m using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Champaign colored album with the powder blue inside. I like the pop of blue on the inside! I have a confession to make. After only a few weeks of creating planner pages… I’m totally addicted! I am loving the challenge of figuring out how many different ways I can use the dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs Planner Essential line. There are pages, tags and many embellishment dies to choose from. You can create planner pages and tags out of a lot of different materials. I came home recently with this fabulous paper shopping bag: I knew the minute I saw it that I had to reuse the map…

Hello everyone! It’s Kerry Engel, here today to share with you an adorable card that is just begging to be touched. Between the embossing, stenciling and flocking this card is full of texture-therapy; for the maker and the receiver. Cards for any occasion are my favorite ones to keep in my stash. This cute little die-cut owl could be used on a multitude of occasions and I find his tummy is just the right size to hold a sentiment. My favourite trick when putting together more detailed die cut items is to use 3D Foam Squares under key areas. I used the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares to raise my owl’s head up and away from his body. Therm O Web Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets cut like butter and emboss like a boss. To create this adorable Owl I used the Therm O Web Deco Foil Flock Transfer…
