Love this layout that Kim Gowdy created for the Winter issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Kim designed the layout using the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Traveler collection. The journaling was done using a Kelly Creates black Fineliner. Everything was glued together using Glue Dots Permanent Glue Squares. Kim here with a fun project share using the Stampers Anonymous Merry Misfits stamps! Oh, how I LOVE these little guys! They are PERFECT for Christmas tags! The Misfits just make me smile and take a little stress out of the chaos of Christmas! Along with the Misfit stamps, I also used Ranger’s Simon Hurley Classic Flannel stamp, Distress Oxide Inks and a Shifter stencil! These products ALL play so well together! Have fun adding tags to your Christmas gifts this season! Maybe you could wrap up a Creative Scrapbooker Magazine subscription! Now THAT would be a sweet gift to receive!

Hey, Kim here with a quick layout share! I created this simple layout last week using Simple Storiesโ€™ Hey Crafty Girl Collection. Itโ€™s a family photo taken from this past summer! The Hey Crafty Girl collection is a great mix of fun patterns and colours. From 12×12 papers, journal blocks, stickers, ephemera and chipboard pieces โ€“ this kit will provide hours of creative fun! Some additional supplies used on my layout include: Chameleon Fineliner pens for my journaling. A couple of adhesives from Glue Dots. Ranger Distress Oxide Ink was used to colour my wooden tag (that came off of some unknown product that we bought at some point).Studio Calico plastic heart & May Arts twine. Have you picked up the WINTER issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine? It will keep you inspired until the SPRING issue arrives!

Design team member Kim Gowdy had some serious fun playing with the Let’s Shake Our Tail Feathers stamp set by Picket Fence Studios! Check out this GORGEOUS card she designed. Here is the Let’s Shake Our Tail Feathers stamp set by Picket Fence Studios that she used. She paired that set with the Picket Fence Studios The Hen House stamp set and coordinating die. That chicken makes a perfect peacock! Kim used Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks to color the card. The ink was applied using Picket Fence Studios The Life Changing Blender Brushes. Everything on Kim’s card was adhered using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L including 3D Foam Square to pop up the peacock! Here is another look. It’s Friday night!ย  A perfect time to “shake those feathers”.

Happy Tuesday! Itโ€™s me, Kim [instagram], back on the blog today with a scrapbooking layout inspired by Stampers Anonymous Pressed Foliage stamp set and our September Sketchy Challenge. Autumn is hands down my favourite time of the year. I love the colours, the crisp air and the cozy clothes that are all part of the season. However, as I sit here typing up my blog post, my world has been blanketed in frozen, white crystals of snow..NOT my favourite season! *sigh* At least I have documented the loveliness of autumn and can enjoy the memories through my photos. This season will bless my world again in 2020! My layout started as a simple white piece of Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock. This smooth, bright white, 130lb weight card stock is the PERFECT foundation for cards and layouts. Your inks will fall in love with this product! I randomly stamped different leaf…

Hello! Kim here, sharing a cute, birthday card Iโ€™ve recently made! As I rummaged through my stash of previously made cards, I realized I was getting low on birthday cards! This will be a quick card to make multiples of, to have on hand! For this card, I have used my Art Impressionโ€™s Cupcake BFFs stamp. I stamped it to the left side of a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Superstock. My sentiment was stamped separately and cut with a circle punch. I colored the image with my NEW Chameleon Fineliner Pens, I adore them! Like their big sisters, the Chameleon Pens, the Fineliners can provide tonal, colour transitions like magic! Think how beautiful your journals and planners can be! Here, however I have coloured my image using dots and lines – it is such a FUN way to colour smaller images! Iโ€™ve added a narrow strip of patterned paper to…

Good Morning Creative Scrapbookers! Itโ€™s a gorgeous day in Alberta, after some not so nice ones! I thought it would be nice to celebrate this beautiful morning with a creative space share from here, in our own stomping grounds! Todayโ€™s โ€˜Where You Createโ€™ is from Paula Doran, in the lovely community of Sherwood Park. Iโ€™m a bit biased because Sherwood Park is my home as well! Paula is sharing a few photos of her beautiful space that has evolved after several years of water damage in her basement! She writes: โ€œI have attached โ€˜Where I Createโ€™ photos, although this is only about 1/4 of my crafting supplies! [LOL] The rest are in a storage room. I LOVE my space because, from 2010 – 2017 I did not have an area that was inspiring. We had water in our basement. Until we could repair and re-do our basement, I had a…

Hello! Kim here with some Llama Llove! I shared this little tag on our Instagram Story a few weeks back and thought ย I could show you how easy it was to put together! Let’s Go! STEP BY STEP LLAMA LOVE TAG: Thanks for checking into the blog today, hope this project inspires you to try some masking! For more inspiration, get your hands on the latest, summer issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine!

Hello! Kim here again with a simple Silly Goose Pocket Page layout to share. I have been tearing apart my scrapbooking space to make way for renovations [yet again!]. Itโ€™s scary what lurks in corners and drawers that you forget you ever had. I had a ton of stuff tucked into my little room that has now found temporary homes all over my house! I have purged some things and fell back in love with older product, it has been a process. During this process I found some old American Crafts 6×12 page protectors that were divided into 3-4×6 pockets. I figured I give a pocket page a try, something I havenโ€™t really adopted for my style of projects. I have to admit, it was really fun and stress free!I used a sheet of paper from Heartfelt Creationsโ€™ Young at Heart collection and cut 3-4×6 pieces. I layered my photos…

Campfire season is upon us! Truly, my favourite time of the year. Today on the blog I decided to THROWBACK to the Summer 2015 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine where Kim Gowdy designed a gorgeous little Marshmallow Roast Party Invitation using one of my all-time favourite products – a campfire stamp by Impression Obsession. One of the things I absolutely adore about Impression Obsession is that their stamps STAY ALIVE for a long time. So if you love this stamp as much as I do ….it is still available for purchase! CLICK HERE!ย  LOVE IT! Check out this gorgeous little bundle of summer LOVE! Kim stamped the campfire stamp using Clearsnap ColorBox Archival ink. She then colored the image in using Chameleon Color Tone Pens. This card is so stinking cute! I just might have to have a Marshmallow Roast Party just so I can totally copy this invitation. Giggle…
