The beginning of a new month MEANS there is a NEW FREE coloring card for you to download designed by our illustration and coloring commander in cheif – Betty Hung! This month Bettyย  has designed a playful pumpkin illustration, with falling leaves and plenty of design graphics for you to color until your heart is content. Although Betty has designed this illustration with creating a card in mind to give to that someone special – I think this creation would look super cute colored, framed and hung on the wall as a fall decorative piece of home decor! Experiment on different types of paper when you print your copy out. Printing it on canvas paper and then painting would be a super cool project as well. The Template Here is the the card template Betty created – CLICK HERE to download your copy.Betty Hung’s Take on the Card Each and…

Hello, Connie Nichol here with an autumn themed card featuring Impression Obsession stamps along with a Tombow adhesives and Clearsnap ink. ย The DCWV burlap is a MUST HAVE! It is super easy to work with and adds a home spun feel to any project. The Project The Products This rake and leaf die set is the cutest from Impression Obsession. ย  I love that there are multiple leaf dies in this set. ย It makes it very fast to cut out a bunch of leaves in assorted fall colours. I used a Tombow glue pen to adhere the leaves and the rake to my card. ย It’s very precise and easy to use and works perfectly for tiny or intricate die cuts. The Impression Obsession stamp set is called ‘Watch the Leaves’. ย  This is also a great quote to use on fall themed scrapbook layouts.I backed the stamped sentiment with burlap…

I LOVE this layout Christy Riopel designed for the Fall 2016 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. That beautiful background was created with Ranger Dylusions spray ink and paper towels! HOW COOL! Frugal Scrapbooker In every issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine our Frugal Scrapbooker Connie Nichol shares tips and tricks for keepping your scrapbooking budget from exploding. (this can happen :)) ย In the Fall 2016 issue, Connie shared tips for using scrapbook supplies from your kitchen. Everything from saran wrap, to cheesecloth, to pop can tabs. LOVE IT! This layout was Christy’s contribution to Connie’s article. She used paper towel to create that fun textured background. The Products The base of Christy’s layout is Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock. This is heavy ย 130lb white smooth finish cardstock. It is meant to take a lot of scrapbooking LOVE – giggle giggle. Perfect for stamping, card making and mixed media! Ranger Dylusions ink spray…

Technique Tasters Web Show #96 – Distress Crayons Stencilling Technique ย – is probably one of my favourite videos we videoed with Christy Riopel. Ranger Distress Crayons had just entered the scrapbooking scene at the time and although I had purchased all that were available, I really had no idea how to use them. This short little video opened up a whole world of possibilities and in true Christy style – she made the technique look so very simple that even I can’t seem to screw it up! The Project The Supplies Ranger Distress Crayons. You can purchase these crayons individually or in sets of 6. Today there is a total of 10 sets of 6 colours. YUMMY! Art-C self adhesive stencils come in a large variety of sizes and shapes and sentiments. They are truly easy to use and THEY STICK! I love that – no worrying about your medium…

What an absolute treat it was to have Els Van de Burgt from Elizabeth Craft Designs on our web show Technique Tasters #113 – Creating Backgrounds for Cards. Els is the owner of Elizabeth Craft Designs and has been creating, teaching and spreading the love of paper crafts for years. On today’s show Els pulled out a number of her very own products including cardstock, dies, stamps and adhesives. Along with Tim Holtz for Ranger oxide inks and Sakura Pigma Micron PN pens to create this beautiful card. Oxide Ink Effect The cool oxide water effect you see in the background is all the rage right now. It looks rather intimidating, however, as you watch the video you will discover that it is really rather simple to create and fool proof! The other cool fact about this technique is that NO two creations look the same. Products Used To create…

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a layout I created from the BoBunny collection called Petal Lane. ย The colours are mostly soft pinks and yellows with some striking black and the patterns dominated by flowers and bicycles. ย It’s gorgeous! ย Although it’s a feminine colour palette, it works for a lot of other photos too. ย Here, I used it for my son’s kindergarten class picture. Here’s an image of the Petal Lane Collection pack. I was inspired by some small hearts on one of the sheets of patterned paper to add some more hearts with the BoBunny Lots of Love stickable stencil and some BoBunny glitter paste. ย These stencils are fabulous to use because they don’t move around while you are applying paste. ย Unfortunately, I didn’t have any yellow glitter paste in my stash, but I used the colour called ‘Sugar’, which is basically clear. ย After it dried, I coloured itย with…
