The βSweetβ Life By AJ Otto My favorite thing about scrapbooking is preserving the every day moments.Β The stuff you wont remember in the years ahead, the current favorites, likes, dislikes, hobbies, etc. This picture of my daughter is a pretty accurate depiction her at this time, life seems to be all about the phone, her music, and *fingers crossed*, a hot chocolate from Starbucks time permitting.Β With extra whip of course. π I started with some splatters of the silk luster just to create a slight break in the white background. I tend to keep my scrapping style to less is more, focusing on the pictures, and hopefully documenting the current event. Luckily, the size of the Spellbinders dies used make scrapbooking with the Spellbinders Prizm die cutting machine entirely possible. I decided on the focal point being her picture, and wanted a small border to ground the…

Hey everyoneβ¦Kim here, sharing my take on our April Sketch.Β This monthβs sketch is a very basic, graphic design that could be used over and overβ¦and look different every time! I love that! My four square grid is a bit βlostβ in the background, but if you look youβll see it! I used products from Heartfelt Creationβs collection, βItaliana Rivieraβ. These papers, stamps and dies are stunning! They were so fun to play with. Check out this detail shot to see the layers. Some of the layers were made with the stamp, dies and Clearsnap Chalk inks. The other layers were created by βfussyβ cutting from a second sheet of paper and layering on top of the same image using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squares.Β Heartfelt Creationβs Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit was used to add dimension to my cuts. I was so pleased with how the details looked on…
Whooooooβs Sooooo Cute??!! Ah…..Connie Nichol here today. Β There is nothing like sitting down with a crisp new issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine and a cup of tea. Β Especially in the summer when you are sitting outside in a lawn chair listening to the birds singing and the grass feels good under your bare feet. Β I snapped this picture a couple of summers ago, and it still makes me smile when I look at it. To scrapbook this picture, I used products fromΒ Fancy Pants Designs Office Suite line. Β It’s a very versatile paper line containing everything from soft pastelsΒ and delicate floralsΒ to bold black and white patterns. Β It would work for everything from baby photos to travel or wedding photos. The Office Suite alphabet set is big and bold and makes a page title just pop. Β This alphabet set Β comes in the paper pack or you can buy it separately. You can also…
Hello again! Itβs Kim here with my take on the February Sketch designed by Kelly Klapstein. I was inspired to rotate the sketch as shown and from there just started to play until I felt I was done! I love how it turned out, though my husband doesnβt see any similarity to the sketchβ¦LOL! The papers and embellishments are from Bo Bunnyβs Believe collection. I was hesitant at first to get this collection of papers, as I wasn’t sure if the theme would work for my style of scrapbooking. Β Once I opened up the papers, stickers and die cuts I was pleased to find LOTS that I was comfortable working withβ¦I love the colours and whimsy so much. The products that donβt βworkβ for me will easily be altered and adapted for my needs.Β So many inspirational sayings and thoughts, I can’t wait to play with this paper collection again. I…

Hi, it’s Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout I created using the November sketch from the Canadian Scrapbooker sketchy challenge Β and some of the new Creative Memories products.Β Β Β A couple of years ago I participated in a hummingbird photography workshop in British Columbia.Β Β It was an absolutely amazing experience and I have enough hummingbird photographs to last me several lifetimes. I used patterned paper from the Creative Memories ‘Brights’ designer paper pack and the Bubbles Border Maker to dress up my paper edges a little bit.Β The Creative Memories Border Maker System is very unique – you slide your paper into a positioning guide where it is firmly held by a magnet and then youΒ move a punch cartridge stepwise down the paper edge.Β The cartridges are interchangeable so you can easily swap out different cartridges for different borders. To make my picture pop, I used dimensional foam adhesive…
