Hello! Kim here, just logging in to share my take on this month’s Sketchy Challenge! This month, for the most part, I stayed true to Kelly’s sketch. As always, a sketch is a fun place to start creating from…especially if your mojo is on hiatus. I pulled out my “A Year to Remember” collection from Creative Memories, and had fun going through the many different embellishments to find the ones that I felt worked best. I really like the colour palette of this collection, and look forward to pulling it out again. Here’s a detail shot of the banners. I cut between each banner, so I could add some texture and movement to it. I also curled and distressed the edge of some of my paper…I love texture and layers, but still need my pages to be flat enough to fit in my albums. Another layer I have added but…
Hi everyone! Kim here with a quick share of a mini album I just completed. I used a Close To My Heart “Workshop on the Go”. These kits they put together are genius! Patterned paper, cardstock, stamp set, embellishments and an idea sheet…ready for you to play! I choose to work with “La Vie en Rose” set…I love it! Thanks for checking out my album. This project is not hard technically, but requires time. In the end, it’s a nice reminder of a fun girls trip to Washington State. I have LOTS more pictures to scrapbook from this trip, but this mini album is like the “Coles Notes” version of our trip. SUBSCRIBE TODAYΒ to our quarterly publication – delivered right to your door!

Hello again, Nicole here and I am back to share this woody tag I made to show off the Sizzix Evergreen die.Β I love to get the most out of my dies and think of different ways I can use them.Β I love to create layers and texture along the way. I spritzed watercolor paper water then sprayed RangerΒ Distress Spray Stain peeled paint, lucky clover and twisted citron.Β I cut the greens from the tattered pinecone die and added a few forest moss Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock greens too.Β Then I glued them all to a piece of matboard then ran it through on the Evergreen die.Β Creating this 3D Tree. I stamped the Kraft tag with using picket fence distress paint then inked the edges with ground espresso.Β With some scrap inked up watercolor paper I cut out βMomentsβ from the Handwritten Journey Thinlit.Β I used this Idea-Ology Flashcard trimmed…
Hi everyone!Β It’s Kelly Klapstein here to share my layout based on our March Sketchy challenge. Here is the sketch: I used the gorgeous paper collection called “Soiree” by BoBunny. These papers are perfect for my daughter’s photo because she adores all things vintage and retro. I used my Brother ScanNCut to create the title, including the hand lettered ‘Hello,’Β which is a cut file I designed myself. I also outlined the “Sweet Sixteen” with a Sakura white Gelly Roll pen. This dimensional flower with leaves is from the ScanNCut machine library of images. And the banner is an Impression Obsession stamp that was scanned and cut with the ScanNCut also…. no fussy cutting! I coloured the banners with Tombow Dual Brush Pens. Did you know the ScanNCut also has the ability to draw designs?Β I used the drawing pens feature for the journaling. That little brown gingham…
