Good day Creative Scrapbookers! Jayme Loge here today with a few layouts from my craft table. I wanted to play with a few simple supplies and try to create a couple of layouts with them. I started with a few sheets of We R Memory Keepers patterned paper and coordinating sticker set, a few sheets of Bazzill cardstock and an American Crafts alphabet set. Hereβs what I did with them: First, I started off using the Creative Scrapbooker Magazineβs sketch from this monthβs βLetβs Get Sketchyβ challenge – CLICK HERE to download your take on this sketch! I added the heart to the background with some βvintageβ Heidi Swapp masks and Inca Gold paste. I changed the orientation of the sketch somewhat and used a special old photo taken on a trip to Mexico in 2000. Back then, film cameras were still in use and disposable panoramic cameras were all…

These bottles filled with vibrant pigment ink have been showing up on all our Design Team projects! Here Desiree Saskiw has used citronella coloured Aladine Izink distributed by Clearsnap to create a bright journaling block in the center of her layout. She then added her journaling Β and doodled frame using a black Creative Memories black Dual-Tip pen. All those little chipboard elements are stuck on her layout using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Dodz. Happy Scrapbooking everyone

Hi there, Connie Nichol here with my interpretation of the January sketch in Creative ScrapbookerβsΒ Sketchy Challenge. Here’s the sketch. Β As you can see, Β I used it as starting point, but sort of flipped it and changed the circles to other embellishments. Β Sketches make the whole scrapbooking process much faster for me. I used Close to My Heart’s Urban Paper Packet and Complements for the project. Β This is great boy line – very masculine colours and patterns. Β The Complements are a variety of stickers and chipboard die cuts to embellish the page. To add a little more fun, I took a wet paint brush and flicked a little blue watercolour paint on the background page. Β There is already some blue droplets on this particular patterned paper, which gave me the idea to add more! Β At the end, most of it ended up being covered with my photograph, but…

Planning and Organizing Your Project Life Scrapbooks with Cathy Caines I am a chronological scrapbooker. I mix traditional layouts and pocket pages. I donβt like to scrapbook in βorderβ. I jump from date to date, month to month β whatever inspires me in the moment. So, how can I achieve this without feeling overwhelmed? Ah ha. My βIn Progressβ album. It is my planner of scrapbooks. The βIn Progressβ album is a system I developed for myself but I know there are other memory keepers like me out thereβ¦ and you need my help. It is an album that holds all my incomplete pages (and some completed pages) until they are ready to move into their final albums. It kind of looks like this β lots of Post-itsβ’! How does this work? Once a month, I go through the following process: Step 1: Delete any photos that are taking up…
Well, the time we spent at CHA 2016 was inspiring, and seeing all the new releases sparked our creativity and imaginations! And it’s not all fun and games….we do lots of work on our phones too. There were a few more booths that we enjoyed visiting. Β The Prima booth was beautiful as always: Spellbinders always has beautiful displays and staging. And you know how much we love walking into the rainbow of colour in the May Arts Ribbon booth! It was great to see Canada represent, too! Emerald CreekΒ Craft Supplies had a booth and we stopped in to say hi to owner Kim Evans and Designer Nicole Wright. Emerald Creek manufactures metal charms and cling mounted rubber stamps. Β Nicole has a new stamp release that is wonderful! Yes, Β CHA 2016 was awesome! Our team loves spending time together, and California is always a nice destination with palm trees and…
The FabScraps booth is always so beautiful because the paper collections have a dreamy and pretty shabby chic style. There are 3 new fabulous collections: Vintage Elegance, Beach Bliss and Kaleidoscope. As its name suggest, the Vintage Elegance collection is all soft florals, pinstripes, and patterns with muted colour tones, reminiscent of timeless, vintage wallpaper. Each collection has coordinated chipboard elements, metal charms and stickers. Beach Bliss has gorgeous beach and nautical theme patterned paper, with a subtle weathered wood background image. Ahoy there matey! Β Check out those big chipboard elements….the lighthouse and captain’s wheel! The youthfulness of the Kaleidoscope collection is derived from its energetic colours and geometric patterns. Cardmakers will be happy to hear about a new product addition called the ‘Carders Pack’ for each collection, which is an 8 x 8 package of 4 different paper designs, plus die cut…
