Kim here to sneak in my take on October’s sketch, designed by Sue Sykes! A fun sketch to work with; oneΒ that I can see using again! Great way to add multiple photos or use up many of those pocket page style kits! I used LOTS of Stampin’ Up! goodness on this page! Paper is from the Flowerpot Designer Series and I used their new Sizzix Dies: Project Life & Word Bubbles. Other Stampin’ Up! products used were the buttons, stamps, ink & the pink, ruffled ribbon! My titles were cut usingΒ purchased SVG files from Wilna Furstenberg’s site and the wooden banner is from Studio Calico. Everything played together well to create this fun page celebrating a road trip to Phoenix with great friends! Here is the sketchΒ I based my layout on. Join in our monthly challenge! CLICK HERE!

Hi everybody, Connie Nichol here. Halloween is fast approaching, bringing to mind ghouls, goblins, ghosts and all things spooky. My kids love this time of year, especially the dressing up in costumes part, although the abundance of treats collected door to door doesnβt hurt either. Stampin’ Up! has so many cute Halloween themed products in their holiday catalogue. I especially adore the Motley Monsters designer series patterned paper.Β The patterns and colours are fun and bright, so the resulting projects are cheery and upbeat. Hereβs the layout I created using some of these papers. I cut a few cardstock leaves with the Fun Fall Framelit dies but most of the interesting stuff on the page is from fussy cut elements from the patterned papers themselves.Β I cut out extra tree trunks and layered them onto the base sheet of patterned paper using dimensional adhesive (doubling up the adhesive to add…
Happy Monday! Kim here with a quick card to share! I have been wanting to work with this paper collection from Heartfelt Creations for sometime now, but there always seems to be something else that needs to get done! Friday morning I put it on the top of my to-do list andΒ am so happy I did. Creative time is so good for my soul! Celebrate the Journey collection also has some wonderful dies and stamps that play fabulously together! These are just a few! I chose to make my own background paper using Canadian Scrapbooker’s Superstock, Clearsnap Colorbox chalk & pigment inks and of course the wonderful stamp shown below! I matted the background with paper from the collection andΒ began toΒ build my card. I used the hot air balloon stamp to create my dimensional elements and layered May Arts ribbonΒ &Β pieces of patterned papers to get the look I wanted.…
Hi all! It’s Cathy Caines here to share some fun Halloween projects featuring Stampin’ Up! The ghosts and goblins have been out to play in my backyard since September began. I love to create for Halloween!!Β Β It could be that I get giddy at the thought of candy or that I have an excuse to search Pinterest for cool costume ideas. Regardless, if you have Halloween on your mind, here areΒ some fun ideas using Stampinβ Up! products. First, you need a banner β this banner was created using the Chalkboard Banner Simply Created Kit. I used white Staz-On and stencils to create the word βBOOβ, as well as rubbed it around the edges. This gave it a more spooky feel but chalk would also do the trick. My daughter would say that treats are the most important thing and most definitely the priority. I couldnβt agree more. I created this…
One of my favourite things is truly a scrapbook layout about anything CANADIAN!Β IΒ sincerely have a soft spot for this beautiful country I call home. Meet Kim Gowdy Kim has been apart of Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine almost since the beginning! Here is Kim’s take on our page call “My Hometown” SUPPLIES: Bazzill Basics Paper cardstock, FabScraps patterned paper, Sizzix dies andΒ Big ShotΒ die CuttingΒ machine, Stampinβ Up! buttons, Clearsnap ink, May Arts twine, Xyron Create-A-Sticker adhesive. To create this layout Kim used some gorgeous barnwood like paper from FabScraps Beachcomber Collection.…
Watercolouring is everywhere right now, and I am just drinking up all its wonder and glory. I want to show you how amazingly quick and easy these cards are!! To create this card you have three simple steps: On watercolour paper, stamp an image with Versamark and heat emboss it with white embossing powder. Apply heat with your heat gun. Stamp your block with your ink pad. Fill your aqua painter brush with water. Dip brush in ink and colour on your paper using brush strokes (see supply picture below) Use a heat gun to dry if you want but itβs not necessary. Gently wipe off any ink on your stamped image.Voila!! To up the stakes a little bit, this next card was created by inking the stamp and then misting the inked stamp with water. You can ink the stamp using markers or refill ink β whatever you prefer.…
